  1. The foot pedal on the powerdrives is why i hated them - 3 went out and the Terrova's spring lifted assist is why I recommended that. Your 60 amp breaker should have been like $15-20. Amazon carries a ton of em. But since you purchased and mounted it already, enjoy it! Even if you upgraded to an Ultrex or Force, at the end of the day it a trolling motor.
  2. https://www.cornfieldcrappiegear.com/product-page/panoptix-trolling-motor-mount Its an ugly install with extra cords hanging around but it works. However does not work if you fish weeds as the cable/mount becomes choked with weeds. The video is actually on an Ulterra.
  3. You should be looking for a Terrova with no pedal, they deployment and lifting it out of the water makes huge difference - they sell them specifically this way. Here is one with the pedal (wired) But here you can buy one without the pedal with the full fledged remote or one with a tiny remote, these two are riptides (saltwater versions): In any case, they run around $900-1000 used in great condition. I paid $1600 (no tax, including shipping) for this particular model, so keep in mind how much they really cost vs. the MAP pricing on websites. I thought the powerdrive sucked compared to the Terrova and have had both.
  4. This is going to be a long read, but I am you! Our needs will be much different. I am upgrading to a Force from a Terrova. Also went from a 15ft jon with edge to 1750 Bass Hawk. Terrova vs. Force Steering - they are both electric with no cable assist, much different than the edge you have now. Force has a pedal much like the edge (sits high and get uncomfortable using it all day long as one leg is higher than the other as you have no recess tray for the pedal on your boat). There is a lag of the force response which takes getting used to. The Terrova pedal will not fit in any recess tray (its too wide) but it is much flatter. Terrova being the less fatiguing pedal of the two being lower the floor, but both suck compared to cable steering. Force pedal is wireless, Terrova pedal is wired (think like 8 gauge wire). Both do not have that giant 1 inch cable to steer them, You can move the pedal around on both,. Deployment - are you a spot hopper that jumps from different spot to spot during the day? Makes a huge difference (and the reason I am upgrading to a Force). 2-3 spots per day, no big deal but 10 spots gets old quick. Pulling the motor out of the water is a pain on the Terrova. I have to reach over my fish finders to push the lever and lift it out of the water. It is not heavy (lift assist on both models) but just not fun. Spend time fishing the thick, thick, weeds? lifting Terrova out of the water to spin the weeds off the shaft (not prop) with your hand (not foot control) sucks, especially if you do it every 50 yards or so. Force is easier to do this with the foot control. Spot lock - Hear some problems with the Force on spotlock moving the boat back 7ft vs. Terrova being spot on. Garmin can fix this with a software update. Contour following - you ain't getting this with your echomaps. Remotes - eh, they pretty much the same too. Brushless vs. Brushed - you know brushless going to use less energy and the Force allows you to go from 24v to 36v without spending money on a new motor. Terrova are either 24v or 36v. If your 36v Terrova has 1 of the 3 batteries die on it, problems. Force will drop down to 24v. Transducer - nightmare cabling on the Terrova, it looks cheap and messy. Force is all integrated. Even your edge would be much better to put a transducer on. If you ever want Livesight or similiar on your trolling motor vs. side hand control mounts, Terrova is out of the question unless you want some extra cables running off the bow. Echomap integration - Force hands down. I have 3 echomaps all networked. With force you have the ability to see the down or side imaging from bow or stern transducer. If you get livesight, even the guy at the back of the boat can see it from the console screen while you look at it from the front of the boat too. All the posters mentioned all these things, it all comes down to your needs and the pros and cons. PM me if you want more specifics.
  5. Zip drives, I can't afford those, only SyQuest 44mb drives for me! I am really good at explaining what I do in layman terms. 1 server = 1 person in car. A car(server) has an engine (CPU), seats (HDD space) and uses roads (networking) You drive around in your car and use it 10% of the time, other 90% sits around doing nothing 1 bus = 40 people The bus drives 40 people around and takes them where they want to go. This takes less energy, costs less than 40 cars. I am the bus driver. I take 40 servers (cars), combine them all into one computer (bus) and every server shares it's resources of that one computer. HCI - I am the bus fleet manager also. Not only do I drive the bus, I have multiple buses hauling around people and have a whole garage full of buses so if one breaks, another pulls up 30 seconds later. Not only do I drive the bus, manage the fleet, I can design a fleet of buses that suit your needs from 2 people all the way to 1000 using the least amount of money, energy and resources. I also own the roads. I can make sure that certain people never see traffic and get to where they want without any delay. I can also let someone else car drive on my road without effecting my buses. To sum up, I manage 400+ bus fleets all over the world, hauling around 30,000 people and I allow over 500,000 other drivers on my roads. VMware is just the name of the company I use just like GreyHound.

  7. Sorta on topic - if you have 18v power tools, why not just use those batteries and 12v adapter instead of buying another 10-12ah battery?
  8. 1. Boating is new to you - there are no stupid questions. 2. Fisherman are usually helpful, unless it comes to sharing their favorite fishing spot. 3. Like Short Fish says, get stuck on purpose, calm down and think it through. 4. You can read all you want and watch any video but it is much easier to have someone show you. 5. Unless you are actually on plane driving the boat flat out and beach it, you can get unstuck 6. Those weeds you worry about? If they were 100 yards wide, I fish in the middle of the heaviest weeds you think there is, out of a deep v boat. Really, you are new, anyone available to show you how to do stuff? If I was at the dock and you approached me, I would take you out for hours and get rid of your worries. Even talking to someone to show you what to do on dry land helps. Here is a great video of your worries - notice that the big motor is tilted up and the trolling motor is set shallow, your boat is pretty much exactly like the one in the video also.. Sorry facebook link. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1983120395236820
  9. Yikes - the trailer has rollers too. But considering I watch this channel, I don't doubt it will not sell. A whole youtube channel of nothing but fails. https://www.youtube.com/c/MiamiBoatRamps/videos
  10. Quick search shows http://www.omfishingsinkers.com/ But your order takes like 2 weeks to come in, I don't go through a ton of terminal tackle and I have never ordered from this place. Would go with a board sponsor though first.
  11. If the dealer was no help, this place is called **** Resource for a reason! - Post a pic for everyone to see your transducer in relation to the bottom of the boat, from the side. Does it look like this? Pic stolen from the internet.
  12. The Force as I know hooks up to the FFs to drive to a waypoint on the finder, or follows the gps route you can program on the finder. It will not however follow lake contours like the Minn Kota/Humminbird does on lake maps. (not 100% sure on the contour mapping issue)
  13. Yeah I am going to say that everyone looking at this thread doesn't know that they are looking at $1800 jackets, $300 t-shirts, $300 vests and $500 pants. The stupid keychain at the end of the page is $60.....
  14. Not possible - their website is down.
  15. Have the 93plus and the 93plus uhd. The only difference was the UHD accepts the GT54 and GT56 tranducers. The 93plus UHD should be able to be found with the GT54 for $599 someplace, I know BPS had it on sale during xmas and recently but probably all sold out. The current 93plus UHD comes with the GT56 hence the $1000 price tag.
  16. Carbs, it seems to always the the carbs. I watch too many outboard repair videos even though my motor is brand new. This guy repairs a ton of outboards to flip em. https://www.youtube.com/c/ThatBoatGuy/videos For your case specifically,
  17. I think after 2019? I'm guessing here, they changed the consoles from roto molded plastic to fiberglass which was one of the complaints everyone had on the pro-v.
  18. Check out all the previous tourneys there, but 5lbs seem uncommon and not too rare. https://www.anglers-dream.com/copy-of-2020-div-23-braidwood Oddly, I never fish for bass there, have too much fun with catfish and bluegills. Even LaSalle has some giant bass there including smallmouth, but again, too many other species for me to target them and wipers scream out the drag. Also, catfish 10+lbs on medium heavy bass rods? Not fun, arm felt like it was on fire after a few. Say hello if you see me out there, probably only guy in Illinois (or most states) with a Crestliner Bass Hawk which are super rare it seems. Michigan boat plates, I am not screwed by the Illinois boat or trailer license fees. Yay planning!
  19. When you configure on the lund site, the first configuration shows the picture of a dual console but it is actually the single console. The port console is actually optional as mentioned.
  20. Was bass tourney on the 18th, everyone tired maybe but there was only 11 boats. Website not up to date, so you get the facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/Anglers-Dream-Braidwood-Division-23-104753934314631/
  21. I present to you the utmost in cringe: https://www.reddit.com/r/mallninjashit/ To: OP - not my cup of tea, but looks very nice. Well done.
  22. Crappie are spawning in the backyard as I can see them popping the surface which means to me, the bass are about 2-3 weeks behind here in Illinois at least in backyard, I travel north 1 hour and it usually starts after my spawn is finished. Note: water in the backyard is only 7ft deep at the most.
  23. Thanks for all the replies - I did find a skeeter dealer near me, the dealer locator just didn't like my zip code. Dunno the cost of the skeeter trays. The home depot storage crate is #1 on my list since I know I can cut it down to half height so i doesn't take up massive room when I am putting other crap in the boat. It also gave me the idea or just make one outta 1/4" wood.
  24. A-rig, stupid tube, lunkerhunt phantom spider, johnson silver minnow with pork leech trailer, mepps #3 agila and mepps minnow (haven't thrown them in like 35 years), og silver rapala, strike king rocket shad spinnerbait, savage gear snake, those stupid electronic prop fishing lures that swim in circles and those crazy stinky balls this forum made me buy. Really wanna try the spider to drop it in my wife's lap but I fear the ass kicking afterwards.
  25. Thanks Fisher - but I am looking for anything that is not a backpack/bag type of deal. More like something I can just dump in the boat and boxes slide into place.
