Does Color Matter in Line?
I just picked up some Sunlike in blue so I wonder how visible it will be (if any) underwater.

Feels like I won the lottery today
If you don't want that SV103 and don't want to worry about a hassle with Daiwa should something unlikely come up, please send it my way. I would buy if from you for what you paid. Thanks and let me know.

Dobyns Xtasy 755 first impressions
I have the chance to pick up an Xtasy for $385 or an Champion HP for $259. Should I just get the 754 Xtasy over the 744 HP? That's basically 30% off of either model. Thank you!

Minn-Kota Transom Motor Help Question
A few weeks ago out of the blue I heard a rattling/ticking sound coming from my Minn-Kota 55lb. thrust transom mount electric motor (purchased in 2014) and after taking off the prop (though maybe line, weeds, gunk under the prop), and taking the two long screws out from the motor section, found that the issue was that the magnetic portion of the motor had a portion (about 1.5" by 1.5") that had broken off and must have been rubbing upon rotation (power on and also in reverse). Should I epoxy this portion back on or just leave it go? Everything was put back together without the small piece that was broken and the sound is gone and everything seemed to function just fine when tested on the marine battery. Will I lose any overall power on the lb. thrust since a small portion is missing? Thanks for any/all help! Best wishes on the water!

Dobyns Xtasy 755 first impressions
Awesome review! I have been hearing great things about these rods as well. Is the cork as nice as everyone says it is? Some say its the finest cork they have seen on a factory, non-custom built rod. The Bantam seems like a great choice and/or an SV103 with the same sort of build/power to balance the rod.

Favorite Emperor Rods
Anyone use one? Looks sort of like a cross between a Shimano/Jackall Poison Ultima and a Megabass Destroyer. Any feedback on them would be nice. Thank you!

Here is one of my Daiwa SV105HS reels with some Hedgehog Studios "dress up" parts, red SV spool, PX-R cast control, RCS corks, Zaion star, 90mm handle, etc. This and the TDZ/OG Zillion/SV103 platforms are two of my favorites. I still may add a gunmetal mag dial screw. Best wishes on the water!

Tatula 100HS Review
I received my Tatula 100HS on Saturday and had a chance to take it out on the water on Sunday. Spooled up with 10lb. mono and put on a Daiwa Steez XT 701MRB casting rod, my intent was to fish jerkbaits (and topwater) at a local private lake. Ended up catching a few and here are my thoughts on the reel: Cosmetics: Matte black finish very similar to a Fuego CT which I had side-by-side. The Tatula spider on the left plate is noticeable in the sunlight but to me was not gaudy. There is a larger than I expected white dot as a marker for mag adjustments and a Daiwa logo on the front plate of the reel. The red accents next to the thumb bar are okay but I would have actually rathered them blend right in with the matte black. Ergonomics: The reel is small but not that small. It fits nicely into my larger but skinny hands but really is a toss up between the CT platform and this (for me). The reel sweeps back moreso on this platform than the CT (palming side) and the mag dial doesn't seem to interfere with the way I palm the reel. Mag adjustments are solid and not loose so I never had to re-adjust. Casting: It was odd for me to just adjust only the magnets since I always have used a cast control to fine tune my casting. Nonetheless, I found that 7-8 were where my adjustments needed to be to cast the lures I wanted the distance I wanted and still maintain control. I did get some small backlashes but nothing out of the ordinary. Casting distance was good but for me not any farther than the Fuego CT and/or SV105. Mechanics/Durability: The reel feels solid but not as tight/refined as some of my higher end offerings (SV105). Not saying its not solid at all and it does feel (to me) very similar to the Fuego CT (which is slightly hollow if that makes sense). Not sure how the matte black paint will hold up. Drag was solid when fighting fish and seemed to be working just fine and smooth. Overall, the Tatula 100HS is a nice reel. I like the feel and finish of the Tatula SV reels a little better but this is just the tip of the iceberg I think with this smaller frame. An SV version of this or a higher end Zillion version of this would be nice but I think would take away them from the market for sales of the Steez A and TW SV. Who knows what Daiwa will bring as far as further price-point refinement to this frame in the future. However, for the price and the market, the Tatula 100HS is a fine reel and I am sure will sell/perform well to the variety of anglers it will appeal to. I see it truly as a toss up for many though between the matte black look and more compact Tatula 100 versus the more refined and tighter Tatula SV. Hope this review helps. Best wishes on the water!

Lens color?
Costa 580G green or silver mirror with copper base or Smith Chromapop+ or Chromapop Glass in ignitor/copper/brown lenses.

Megabass 110 Nanko Reaction
I did manage to grab a few before they sold out. So I will hang on to them. What are they the Anniversary series of?

Megabass 110 Nanko Reaction
Of the limited run of colors, why does this one sell out so fast? Has anyone used it and can comment on how it looks in the water and even how it performs in the clearer waters of the North (Great Lakes, 1000 Islands, etc.)? Thanks!

I have a Zillion 73MH that I love! Just recently though I picked up a Steez XT 7' MRB which hopefully will be a very versatile rod.
