  1. Custom made Abu 4600C with CDL parts on it. Made by Don Iovino in Burbank, CA. Engraved palming side plate I also have a custom 2500C he made for me. Both of these were made and purchased in 2016. Gorgeous reels.
  2. 1959-1961 model Ambassadeur 6000. Flea market find for like $40-45. Still looks new!
  3. Agreed...I have a 2500Ci4+ that is mighty quick. As are my favorite class of reels to fish...the older (pre-LT) Daiwa 3000/3012 size in the Luvias. They have a 5.6:1 gear ratio but take in almost 38" of line per turn. Plus, the larger spool helps with line lay and I feel slightly smoother drags (maybe to the slightly larger surface area?).
  4. St. Croix Legend Tournament 7' Medium Moderate spinning...I guess it's a dynamite small shad rap rod too!
  5. TW has the Steez SV TW up to $550 and the A at $500 due to the 1/15/19 price increase. With all this new stuff coming out, I am just happy that I have my SV105s and SV103s. Newer is often nicer, but not always better.
  6. I've been doing the same now for the last year and it is awesome!!! Enjoy that setup!
  7. Me too...just confused on the new 70 size. But I do like the color scheme.
  8. I use the Randy Howell original Tatula (black and gold) 7' ML casting rod rated for 1/4-5/8oz. baits that has the short, full grip handle. It's am impressive rod. I also use it for cranks but it is all graphite. For larger cranks, I use a Legend Glass 74MH. Those OG Tatula rods are really great rods!
  9. You mean like this reel...
  10. Oh I picked the rod up...it's beautiful!!! However, I can't get out on the water due to the weather. I am planning on putting a tricked out SV103XS on it. It should be really, really, nice! I have talked to Gary Dobyns personally about the rod, also spoke with guys who use NRX rods and many have said that they like the Xtasy better than the NRX. Especially from a balance standpoint.
  11. Buy the Morrum 5600C that I have in the classifieds that was tuned by Ian Shields. It is an amazing reel that needs a new spot on a swimbait rod!
  12. Grabbed a bunch of them too! Both the fat and the slim. They are backordered but the order was placed at that price.
  13. Haha...my bad!
  14. Top row is copper (to the right of the two poppers). The second row is actually gold/black back/orange belly, but the smaller 3 1/2 inch ones are a combo of gold and copper. That color (well a similar version) has been working well for me in slightly stained water and can be super effective in tannic waters.

Oh I totally agree! So many folks are "anglers" because they caught a fish once on a trip where they sat until they were handed a rod that already had a hooked fish on it, was told step by step what to do, had someone land it, unhook it, and filet on board a luxury yacht.
  16. Ordered these Thursday, and they arrived today: Yes...that's 51 baits for a total of $75.48 shipped to my door!

How about these: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/shimano-beastmaster-electric-reel?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&affcode_c=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIupO30LzF3wIVj1YNCh0wkAAPEAQYAiABEgI4KPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Or better yet and true insanity... https://www.tackledirect.com/daiwa-dendoh-mp3000-24-volt-marine-power-reel.html
  18. Cabela's Mean Eye Jerkbaits are $1.48 per bait. Excellent jerkbait! I bought a bunch!
  19. It is the Japanese version of the Chronarch 100SF. I have one that is essentially NIB. They were a great reel at the time and still are today. Find an old school G. Loomis MBR and match it up and you should be in business!
  20. You should sell me that spool!
  21. Can you post some pictures of the reel? How smooth is it? What other models does it compare to? Thanks!
  22. You'd be crazy not to get all four at that price.
