  1. I've been wearing them for a number of years and have taken advantage of the 2 for 1 sale a couple of times. I've gotten cataract surgery and still wear them. My wife says I look like a dork but ask me if I care. Being large they're good protection also.
  2. Great story, thanks. Although my dad didn't take me he set me up with his friends that took me.
  3. Long sleeve fishing shirt when I'm fishing along with usually shorts or in cool weather long pants. Otherwise a robe and slippers.
  4. Finesse worm, 1/16oz weight light wind 15' or less spinning. Anything over, baitcasting.
  5. Fanny pack is great if you don't have to carry much tackle. Mine has 3 zippered compartments and has plenty of room. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B9R9HKQ3?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_dt_b_fed_asin_title_0_0
  6. Since I'm a minimalist I use a fanny pack. I have a travel bag with room for 4 3700s and 2 3600s plus clothes and reels when I did salt water trips.
  7. I've pretty much quit and only buy hooks, sinkers and 40 packs of Zoom worms a year.
  8. Your reports are always interesting, thanks. Shoulder problems aren't pleasant. I had a replacement that failed. I try to cast with the other arm.
  9. Thanks for including us, can't wait. Had a similar kayak fishing group; only one left now and it's not me.
  10. I'll start with about 5' of fluorocarbon and tie on another when it gets down to 1'.
  11. I guarantee that I'm considerably older than you and I can do it.
  12. Thanks for the report. I live vicariously through you until I get to fish again.
  13. Keep the trailer attached to the truck with the ebrake on; less likely to slip off the jack. I have a small hydraulic garage jack that I can move under the spring hangers or axle. Less than $50 at Amazon. 2x8x18 board for soft ground or more height. If you're changing bearings jack stands are necessary. I wrote this earlier but forgot to send it.
  14. To get your pictures the right size to post I take them with my phone and email them to my computer, put them on the desktop and choose them to post. Choose mid size. Once you do it a few times it's a piece of cake.
  15. If I wasn't a VA patient we'd be living with our kids. Yes, sometimes it takes a while to see a DR.
  16. I have added a pvc pole that goes on my front seat post to help with balance. Kayaking has past me by in the last couple of years.
  17. Throw a T/R finesse worm with 6 lb line and a 1/16 oz weight and drag/hop it on the bottom.
  18. What Jig Man said. Keep the nut and washer/s with the prop.
  19. Come on down I fish all year either in N GA or central FL. We were in Maine a few years ago over the 4th of July and it was hot. I brought a kayak and fished a few places but don't remember where. There isn't a decent SM fishery down here so I concentrated on them. I caught quite a few along with my first northern pike. None of any size.
  20. Used to use them for trout in the streams in MT in the early 60s. Used Rooster Tails for bass but didn't have any Mepps when I took up bass fishing. BTW I took up bass fishing in the late 70s.
  21. Add another C to the club and I'll join. Curmudgeon, Coots and Codgers.
  22. Driving on the I75 in FL yesterday morning I passed a large catamaran with 4 400hp engines. His fuel bill just starting those engines would last me all winter.
  23. The bilge pump will be on the bottom at the lowest place in the rear of the boat. May be red and white or yellow and black. The Sure Bail is a float switch for the pump.
  24. Or use the bar that goes from the lower unit to the rear roller on the trailer.
  25. I have a buddy with a utube channel that fishes a Spro Epop. FCP fishing. He fishes mostly Lake Lanier and catches mostly Alabama Bass.
