WTD, specifically the Berkley Drift Walker. They just seem to hate/love that thing.

Ive heard lots about that bait. How does it walk in a little bit of wind? Ive heard that it’s more of a glass water bait.

I like the Lucky Craft Gunfish and the Evergreen Showerblows. Next would be the Megabass Pop-x.

Spots hit different to me. It's takes some patience and a few casts to get them to commit but the bites are always vicious. Topwater is the pinnacle of fun with these guys.

Buzzbait skirtless with a fluke on it. Work it over points where they are feeding on herring(if applicable).

It’s very rarely flat calm in Kansas. It’s not a bait for rolling waves, but I fish it on straight 20lb braid and I think that helps keep the nose up. It definitely dives more than standard WTD baits, but I just pause it for a moment and let it float back up and it starts right back up again. I’ve had quite a few eat it when it dives under also, almost like they’re following it and grab it when it pops down in their face.

Definetley would suggest chug bug at #1 im a big fan of the River2Sea whopper plopper but it often catches me more largemouth than spotties but it is still great!

Evergreen 105 Shower Blows or Evergreen JT 95 for imitating or Blueback Herring.

for Spots.  they seem to hit poppers better for me by a huge margin.   I throw the pop-whatever from Megabass.  I can kinda walk that one.

I have a buddy with a utube channel that fishes a Spro Epop.  FCP fishing.  He fishes mostly Lake Lanier and catches mostly Alabama Bass.

Spotted Bass are always angry and have little fish syndrome. They eat everything down here in the south on the Herring lakes. But if I had to pick just one....probably a Chrome Spro E-Pop.....it spits, chugs, pops and walks. Its $8 and comes with sticky sharp Gamakatsu hooks outta the package and Spots EAT IT.  Second choice would be a 3 hook Gunfish 95.
