Green pumpkin/ black blue color baits
Zoom calls it Okeechobee Craw. Top half green pumkin and bottom half blue. It used to come only in the trick worm. I've been using it for a couple of years and even caught a fish.

Gosh, I'm lucky.
Haven't been able to fish for a while but by reading your exploits it almost satisfies my fishing cravings. Thanks.

Backing Down the Boat Ramp
I used to pull my motorcycle trailer with my truck and slide-in camper. Backing with not being able to see the trailer with either mirror was challenging. Had to unhook a few times and maneuver the trailer by hand.

I've helped many people in the years I've been boating/fishing and have been helped in return. Always pay it forward.

Smallmouth vs Spotted bass
I've caught thousands of Alabama bass up to almost 5 lbs and less than a couple hundred SM up to 4 lbs. IMO both in moving water are very tough as are Shoal Bass. My vote is the Alabama Bass.

It's local.
I've gone from Maine to CA and my main bait is a T/R finesse worm on 6lb line or leader. Haven't fished in TX. I have mostly one color that works everywhere.

New Video! How to Find Your Next Fishing Hot Spot
If I'm in a place where I've never been I'll go to a bait shop/tackle store, but a pack of hooks or a lure and ask. Usually I'll get a straight answer.

Pfluger president.

Spare prop - Solas?
I have one of their stainless steel props on my Merc 25 and it works better than the original aluminim prop. Doesn't cavitate in tight turns. Take a chance. If you're satisfied with the performance of your boat get the same pitch. It's marked either on the barrel or under the nut.

Finesse jig paddle tail trailer recommendations
I have a couple of Vivif swim baits with double hooks on the bottom I've had forever.

Finesse jig paddle tail trailer recommendations
D.O.A. or Basspro. I have some I've had for 30+ years, I bought in CA when I lived there, that are still catching fish. I'm of the school if you get it in front of them they'll bite.

Why did Daiwa remove the Air Bail from the new LT spinning reels?
Thanks.
-
how would you rank the three common bass as tablefare?
In Lake Lanier Alabama/spotted bass are my choice of table fare. There are no SM and LM are much less tasty than Alabamas. We eat them a couple times a month caught the same day.

My knot repertoire.
Along with the palomar and Lefty Kreh I use the FG at home for leader to braid and triple surgeons or Alberto when I'm out fishing.
-
Loop knots; Kreh a good one?
I only use it if the leader is much stronger than the line; it's not a strong knot.

Tip Top repair help?
Slice off really thin slivers of the tip top glue stick and stuff the tip top full with them. Heat with a lighter and put it on the rod.

Why did Daiwa remove the Air Bail from the new LT spinning reels?
Still don't know what an air bail is.

Gears meshing poorly after tear down
There usually are spacers between the main drive gear and the bearing to get the mesh right. Did you lose one or forgot to install it.

Legit Grease and Lube?
For grease I mix CorrosionX with synthetic all purpose grease. Level wind I use 10w synthetic motor oil. Spool bearings a scant drop of the red Quantum oil.

Your all time favorite Shimano baitcaster.
XHS Bantams from the 80s are my favorites. 5:1 gear ratio with 2 spool bearings.
