Scratch Removal...
I don't know if this will help you but here goes. Many years ago I had a near new skeeter with the full metal flake hull. Got it up against a T post just barely sticking out of the water at Fork. It put a deep scratch through the clear down the side of my boat that just made me sick. Saw a deal on TV and decided to try it. Got some fiberglass resin and mixed it up. Applied it to the scratch and the put lengths of scotch tape over it. When I pealed the tape off after waiting for the resin to harden the scratch was gone. Looked great but had a little down side. After several months the resin would turn chalky. If I hit it with a polish/wax it would look good again though which I had to do until I changed boats. big

CHOMPING AT THE BIT
Yep, we've had some good rains lately. What the draw usually will do is pull the fish off the banks and tighter to cover. Also will muddy up the place a bit.

CHOMPING AT THE BIT
Good luck. Should be good for both prespawn and spawners. Weather looks a little rainy until the weekend but should be ok. big

Off limit area in a tournament
Speed limits on bass boats? I've never fished a place like that.

WHO ON THIS SITE FISHES BASS TOURNAMENTS?
Yep, tournament fish as often as possible. My new job has cut back my days on the water but still hope to fish maybe 25 T's this year.

Need Help On Trip Destination
I don't know if you are dragging a boat down but if you are how about this: Hit Fork a couple days, pull to Choke Canyon and fish a couple days, next to Falcon and or Amistad. That's a dream trip in just about anybodys book. The Cali lakes sound good too.

Welcome GrandeBass!!
OH NO, now everybody's going to find out about the Mutants. Kind of takes the secret out of my secret weapon, lol. BTW, if you like fishing the shakey heads try them with a rattlesnake. Tough to beat. Welcome Grande!

Off limit area in a tournament
It's usually to comply with local regulations or to ensure an even playing field. Sometimes the laws do not allow fishing in marinas or around structures like dams or water intakes. Also, release areas are usually off limits as was already mentioned. Most rules also restrict fishing in waters not accessable from the boat to keep people from fishing ponds beside the lake or other places that can be sweetened with fish before the tournament. Air boats have been disallowed in some of the series I've fished to keep people from running up un navigable (sp?)waterways. I've never heard of restricting an area because of it's ability to produce good stringers. dog, I've tournament fished out of everything from a Coleman Crawdad to the latest and greatest glass boats. I can tell you that a small boat and motor will keep you out of more good water than it will get you into. Rough, wind blown points? Distant timber stands? You'll get more casts in the best water with the big, fast, glass boat.

4th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I drive by KY Lake a couple times a year going to the inlaws in Owensboro. I've always wondered what the fishing was like. Count me in, I'm there!

So Who Came to Dinner?
Wasn't last night the big BBQ for the Roadtrippers? Who was the special guest? Hows the fishing been?

OK guys eat your hearts out
Sorry I missed you at Fork Mike. I saw the guy weigh the 1/2 pounder so we must have been close. My son got 5th I think but fishing was tough. Fought the wind and didn't have a bite all day. Got flagged down mid day to tow some one in which we did. Broke the TM prop as soon as we went back to fishing. Oh well, next time I hope. Good luck on the Road Trip and have a great time!

Bighead is the man!!!!
I just got the boat hooked up for the Bullet owners tourny on Fork tomorrow and thought I'd give BR a look before calling it a night. Russ, that is too cool. I'd never have guessed the fish would have hit that bait in water so cold. They seemed pretty lively and fat. Must be a healthy lake you have there. Well, our water is just getting in the 60's here right now and the big girls have been showing up in numbers. Sure wish I could make Guntersville to say hello in person. bighead

Who is your favorite BassMaster
Zell Rowland and Gary Klien. Both are class acts IMO.

Chum for Bass?
Yes I've seen it work. Sitting on the side of a pond throwing out a handful of minnows every now and then and here come the bass. Not really chumming for baitfish to attract the bass like you asked though.

My Trophy Bass Creek... is no more
HBA, just saw the thread and can't believe what has happened to your fishing hole. It just stinks. I'm not sure if the board members understand that the water treatment plant belongs to the 100k + population city down the road and not the little few thousand population community it's facility has affected. As a former resident of Lawton I can vouch for the corruption of it's leaders. I'm sure they will find a way to snake out of responsibility for this at MP's expense. It's time to get lawyers involved if you ask me. big
