Palmetto State Armory has the PPS M2 at $267 right now. Really tempted to get one. Anyone owners here care to share pros and cons? Are they that much better than a Shield (current carry)?
  2. Right now definitely the Zillion SV TWS.
  3. Went out for a few Friday afternoon. Really liking the owner 3/16oz jig rig with small swimbaits. Merry Easter!

I reckon the red eye shad has been partaking in 4/20 festivities.
  5. Wicked weights Clara heads. Tungsten and very affordable.

Summer here in AZ the surface temps are 100 and the hydrilla is jungle thick. When I first started fishing I would dropshot and pull a mojo rig nice and slow. It produced nice bass but never quantity. Last year I stuck with working reaction bite techniques and really boosted the numbers and still had quality. Much easier covering lots of water finding the small patches where they are congregated. On the massive hydrilla flats it's like finding a needle in a haystack. If they aren't responding to a lipless, vibrating jig, or Texas rig underspin finesse them with a spybait. They work great on grass flats too.
  7. Lipless cranks, chatterbait, weightless senko, Biffle bug/swing head and keitechs.
  8. NorCal WOW what an amazing catch congrats!! Biggest last night skipping and pitchin Keitech 3.8s around the docks.
  9. Flouroclear is made in Japan. That's what really surprised me. Always used 6 to 7 turns. Much stronger knot options out there to utilize.
  10. Thank you all for your feedback. Won't be using it anymore. I did order P Line Tactical to try. Hopefully it's good and Cabela's had them 50% off. Seems bizzare the flouroclear isn't trustworthy. I had higher hopes for Japanese manufacturing. On a side note the SD Jam knot mentioned earlier is awesome. Spent a few hours watching knot videos learning new things. My knot choices weren't the best, and I was stuck in old habits.
  11. As a kayak guy lots of swear words and cursing the wind ? Windy days are great to throw reaction baits especially chatterbait, spinner baits, and underspins. The bass are definitely more active and feeding here. Daiwa SV spool reels keep backlashes minimum.
  12. Great catches! A few from a local 5hr kayak tourney today for the best 3. Culled the 16.5 with 11 minutes to left securing 2nd place.
  13. Usually the keitechs that get torn up get put on the chatterbait.
  14. Awesome great information. I already tossed the line out and bought some red lable. Still a good cost effective line from what I've read. Never tried the SD Jam but I will this weekend. Thank you.
  15. 15lb new spool 2 weeks old. I keep all line inside my closet out of the heat of the garage. Tom it's what berkley refers to as the Trilene knot.
  16. Punch rig definitely. Fish the outsides early morning and evenings. They will probably pull in there as the sun comes out. Look for any kind of differences like a merging of pads with different vegetation.
  17. Shhhhhhh keep that one a secret. They demolish them with extreme prejudice lol
  18. Flouroclear. Guides are good to go. I use the flouroclear fun fishing for money savings.
  19. Sunday I snapped off two quality largies recently on hooksets using P Line. Anyone else have breakage issues with it? I habitually check for Knicks and abrasions, and always lubricate when cinching down. Using a two turn clinch knot.
  20. As said above Daiwa Fuego CT. eBay $65 range. Used mine heavily last year frogging, ripping lipless out of grass, and flipping. No issues on any held up solid.
  21. It came with this setup. Pretty nice I put the Helix and transducer on in about 30 seconds.
  22. A few from a fun day today. Owner Jig rig with keitechs, and skipping green pumpkin T rigged senkos got it done.
  23. Did some bank beating after work. First frog fish of 2019.
  24. Winter here can be tough water temps dip into the 40s. Summer time is difficult because surface temps hit almost 100. Scorching sun and blue bird skies. My favorite times to fish though for the challenge. Have you looked into getting a fishing kayak? Great way to get off the bank and very economical.
