  1. Hey I've got a birthday coming up too. You know just in case he decides he doesn't want them
  2. Me too. I live close to Central Catholic high school
  3. Use a hacksaw blade doubled up and cut your groove in the bottom of the popper. Not dangerous doing it that way. Then you just fill the groove once you get your wire set . This is how most through wire wooden baits are made
  4. I'm also in NE Ohio what parts you from
  5. Work bench drawers
  6. You will want to buy a widlerness after you fish out of it. I have a ride 135 you could do jumping jacks on that thing and not tip it
  7. Agree. Hold them vertical is fine. Hyper-extending bottom jaw will probably hurt the fish. In one way or another
  8. There has been studies done showing that this does not negatively impact a fishes bone structure. Yes this was done with x-rays. Maby all 50 of them barramundi were stressed to the point of dying from being caught then thrown in a tank. Hard saying how long they held them out of the water etc... I will try to find the article I am referring to
  9. I try to only talk to people with the same interest as myself. It limits me pretending to be interested in something I'm not. Does it limit my friend selection yes and I like it that way! It really benefits me to like walleye fishing as much as pan fish and bass fishing. I for buddies that get ticked when I don't want to troll. I would rather catch my eyes jigging or casting. I apply alot of my bass fishing to fishing for walleyes and saugeyes on inland lakes. Yes I get weird looks but who cares when it works. You can tell within about one minute of talking to someone about hunting or fishing to know how they are with it
  10. Here's how I view it. When I was young. It wasn't worth fishing unless you weren't suppose to be there. In the case if YouTube. I would bet most of the videos where they say that they are trespassing and show the signs. They most likely have permission they just use this to get views.
  11. Alberto knot and even the blood knot. I used use a uni to uni knot and it would constantly fail
  12. No one has a problem with him getting excited. It's the way he acts. He screams like he just got his **** bit off. Trust me I get as jacked up as anyone when I put a big fish in the boat, but this dude needs to chill a bit. And it has gotten worse over the years. Watch some of his videos from when he was doing city limits fishing and even before that or now. I'm convinced he has ramped it up on purpose. Love him or hate him no one can argue the fact that he is a very good fisherman though
  13. Hard to beat a bandit. In red craw or chartreuse rootbeer
  14. Are you fishing a superliner hook or just a regular ewg. A superliner hook is a lot heavier Guage of steel and takes alot more nuts to drive that hook home. Any time I fish a worm in lighter tackle I try to use a standard hook instead of a superliner hook, same goes for thin hooks on big heavy tackle. They just bend out and rip out of the fishes mouth. I would agree bluegills are often trying g to eat soft plastics
  15. Top waters will most likely work. Carolina rigs or big magnum worms fished really slow . Crankbaits spinnerbaits and swim baits should also produce. I fish alot of lakes similar to what you described here in Ohio. Basically anything that's not completely dredging bottom will still produce. A black ribbon tail worm with a small split shot 8-10 inches ahead of the hook always produces some nice fish for me in them nasty muck filled lakes.
  16. A finesse work can be fishes at any depth you want to fish it. You can fish it as a topwater or if it's heavily salted will sink. You can also add a split shot or Texas rig. The options are endless. I have caught a lot of big bass on just a small worm and splitshot
  17. Cutting board or get some flat PVC trim at your local home Depot or Lowe's . It's dirt cheap strong WATERPROOF and light. If they don't carry it half inch thick just double up a piece of the 1/4
  18. I have a proteam 165 which is basically the same hull. Here's my 2 cents worth. I love my boat but somethings I don't like is A: lack of storage. B:small front deck I remedied these two issues by adding a deck extension. I also added a 24v trolling motor. Now the boat is not made for rough seas and is not a very dry ride but if you are confident in your abilities it can handle some rough water. I have had it in waves where I would take them over the bow while fishing multiple times. I also did get stuck in 4 footers once and 3 footers more times than I should have been. I did make it home safe. (And wet) I think you will love your new boat they're light easy to tow rigs that if you take care of it, it will take care of you. Keep that boat in the garage when not in use and it will last a lifetime. My boat is a 2001 and it's on its original carpet and wood floors. The carpet is about due for a replacement but I keep putting it off. Congrats on your new boat!! Don't let someone else catch the first fish out of it my dad used my boat 3 or 4 times when I bought it before I did haha
  19. Rig it sideways. Works for me
  20. Xrap is a bug fish producer and reasonably priced
  21. I will vouch for baitmaker. His cranks are the best. Top notch builder painter and guy ! Here's a few underspins I tied up for hair jigs
  22. I have a Helix 7 di on the bow and plan on putting the SI gps on the console this year if I win some tourney money. S I is way more beneficial on the console than the bow imo
