Stuck between 2 reels
Do not buy a 4000 sized reel. You will be worn out in no time. 2500 is all that's needed. I bought a daiwa Fuego spinning reel in 3000 size because it's so close in size to the 2500 I figured what the hell. Well I can tell you having that much line is overkill. Been fishing 50+ feet of water on Erie and it's still more line than I'll ever need

Help with spinner baits
Wind wind wind. Did I mention you want it to be windy.... Or dark or both better yet. Think of it as a square bill. And a jig all in one. Fish it in those same areas you would a jig or Square bill. Keep colors simple. White chartreuse natural and black. blades are what can really affect the quality of a spinnerbait bite moreso than color I believe

Silly bass
I caught one today that I lost then next flip with the same jig caught the same fish. The whole reason I know it was the same is the black blotches on its head as I lost it right at the boat the first time. So yes they will come back

Fly fishing for bass...
I use to spend all my free time fly-fishing . Just do it you won't regret it. A 4# largemouth will flat Ware you out

Really Fun Evening
You think multiple 5s in one day from a boat are common . While it does happen and I've done it with largemouth and smallmouth it is far from common

Advice for rookie fisherman
As a beginner here is my recommendation. Take it for what it's worth though. Pick two or three things and learn the ins and out of them till you have 100 percent confidence in each technique. Pick a top water a crankbait or spinner bait and a soft plastic. I would pick a zoom trick worm In black/red combo. a black buzzbait and a strike king 1.5 in shad or chartreuse with black back. Those 3 baits together should be able to put you a very good amount of bass in the boat

Where are the Ohio Fisherman?
The se Ohio lakes have some amazing bass fishing it can be very challenging though. Generally Ohio as a whole is tough fishing but I also believe that is why the few pros from Ohio are very successful on the big circuits

Shimano SLX
Here's another way to look at it. It's probably as good or better than the best reels were 20 years ago. I've got some buddies with them they all love them. The slx rods are very nice too. My tournament partner bought one for dropshot and finesse fishing. I used it once. Very nice rod for the money

Calling Aluminum Boat Anglers!!
I'm an aluminum boat fan I fish a tracker and yes it fishes tournaments just fine. My dad has a rt 188 and it's a very nice boat. I crawled all over a new vexus 19' the other day, I will own one next year. Guaranteed the storage will be as dry or if not more than any other top of the line boat the interior of the boat is fiberglass not just aluminum channel that the lids drop over. I would sell my truck and buy a beater if that's what it took to afford one

Anyone know anything about Ozark Trail kayaks?
Sundolphin makes them. Bought my girlfriend one of the ten foot Ozarks. It has a sundolphin plaque on the inside of the kayak. It was less money with more features. And for how much it will get used why not

Rod saver straps
I believe I'm just going to go with the Velcro straps since I've already had the bungee style and hated them

Pond Prowler worth buying?
I wouldn't worry about it. Most watercraft under 14' doesn't have a title just a basic registration is all. If it's only going to be on private water don't worry about it

Standup vs stream kayak
I have a wilderness ride 135 super stable. I don't think it could be flipped unless you really really tried to. Tracks very well in creeks and rivers and handles waves on lakes very good also. I flip and pitch with big tackle from it no problems with hard hooksets or anything I stand up and fish the entire time from it also bowfish with no problems

Pond Prowler worth buying?
Exactly. Just plug it up and go fish !

Pond Prowler worth buying?
Dependent on the exact material it's made of. If your not concerned with it looking super pretty if you can match the type of plastic it's made of you can weld plastic with a propane torch tons of YouTube videos on it . Since that's well above water line you could silicone it shut just to keep water out and probably be just fine

KAYAK ANGLER KILLED
This is a ****** up thing to say. Is it possible the guy wasn't paying attention sure. Is it likely? No, with the speeds boats run, taking focus off the task at hand for a split second can prove catastrophic. You think the person that hit the kayaker isn't mentally ****** now? I personally know someone that was involved in a fatal car accident that was the other person's fault this was almost 20 years ago and daily they struggle with the fact they are the one that killed the other person
