  1. Why not tear the reel apart and find a local hydro graphics company and have it dipped then throw a set of upgraded bearings in it when you put it back together
  2. I wouldn't rely much on what you see in the tube.
  3. My boat is 19 years old and still on the original seats. It is garage kept but it gets fished hard. The seats are just starting to get a few small tears in them. Sunlight degrades the material seats are made out of. I wouldn't let a little bit of upholstery wear turn you away from a boat unless it is visibly not taken care of
  4. Transferring fish to private waters with the permission of the owner is legal. Transferring fish to public waters is illegal
  5. I live in North east Ohio and fish pretty much all over the Eastern part of the state. I can say without a doubt theirs some 10s in Ohio
  6. I'm just old enough that I had to wait on magazines Saturday morning fishing shows and renting vhs tapes from the video store put out by different pros. Some videos would be on specific techniques. I still gather some info from the internet but I try to pick people's brains as much as possible
  7. I'm going to buy one and make my kid fish with it when he's in trouble instead of grounding him
  8. For $99 I really really like my diawa fuego lt in 3000 size
  9. Screws in mine and it's a 2001. They're just hiding in that new plush carpet
  10. Put a buddies card in and it worked fine. Looks like I'll be looking for another card
  11. I have heard a few other guys talk about this fish n chips mode but I cannot for the life of me find it no matter what I do My map source just says auto, uni map and basemap
  12. Found out there was a download for basemaps. I now have maps in 10 foot increments built into the graph. On way to lake now will mess with nav card some more
  13. Having issues with my Helix 7 GPS side imaging chirp g2. Bought a navionics card cannot get it to show up. Called humminbird they told me to update unit. Still didn't work. Also realised my basemaps is not working. I didn't know basemaps was suppose to show detail. My maps just look like yellowish land and white water. I have tried changing all the humminbird maps settings for water colors etc... When I go to the system status page it just shows dashes for basemaps. Do I need to download this separately? If so does it get done the same way as a system update? Tried to add pictures but won't let me.
  14. Open all drains you will be fine. Also leave motor lowered as soon as you park it for water to drain. I run my boat 12 months out of the year when possible and am often busting ice to get out to open water. The time I would be concerned is with an inboard. An outboard you will be A OK
  15. It's really not but due to marketing people believe it is Spot lock and power poles each has there place. If your in 3 foot of water fishing a bed do you want that trolling motor kicking on and off to hold position? On the other end if your in water to deep for poles spot lock would prove to be invaluable. I will have both on my next boat
  16. Scott Martin Jacob Wheeler both Fletcher and Hunter Shryok Roland Martin Brian Latimer and a few others as well. I like the YouTube stuff better than most fishing shows on TV Most of the real young YouTube fishing kids are a bunch of goof balls that you can't take more then about two minutes of watching.
  17. My dad has the rt188 with the 115 4s proxs boat jumps on plane instantly rides smooth very stable and will handle rough water. We have had it in 4s before and while not recommended it never felt unsafe. With two guys full tournament load full livewell dual 8 foot power poles and 3 batteries it will run low 40s. If it were up to me I would buy the 188 for $8,000 less and spend the money on power poles and upgraded electronics
  18. All my SK square bills and lipless cranks swell and split I'm pretty much done buying them. They stay in a cool dark compartment except when being used. I'm done wasting my money
  19. Largemouth Small mouth Rock bass Bluegill Crappie white and black White bass White perch Yellow perch Catfish Carp Saugeye Walleye Warmouth Greensunfish Sheepshead Creekchub Guess that's probably about it that I can think of
  20. Yup been using all the different p line lines. No issues on my end I like it alot
  21. Improper installation? For something to come off twice that should not come off at all I'm confused and this is not something that you really ever hear about happening
  22. Here's what I have learned about swim baits. I learned it from underspins and transferred it to my regular swimbait fishing. Theirs typically two hits before the fish has it and I'm convinced the first one is always the fish trying to disable the bait then eating it. When I started waiting for that second hit my hook up ration went up to probably 90%. I also started using a med heavy mod rod instead of a med heavy fast. That slower action really helps from pulling your bait away from the fish
  23. Because blondes are good to laugh at and reds are good for.. well probably can't put that on here I've been in trouble enough for having to much fun on here
  24. Call mfg see if you can get touch up or a paint code . Brush in the scratch once dry use some hard as nails clear coat fingernail polish this will fill and blend the scratch to near invisible Remember white is not just white theirs about a million shades of it
