Catfish Surprise
Square bills are excellent catfish baits. Fishing a tournament a few years ago I caught two channel cats 12-15# each and both times they didn't fight like channels at all . They just dogged like giant bass do. After a few minutes of fighting you know what up though!!

How to target bigger bass?
Fish a 12" worm. Not saying you won't still catch dinks but your bites will be slightly bigger on average. Going up to a 7" bait isn't going to make a difference in small fish biting

The impact of breaking off.
Oh ok. This exact thing happened here in Ohio it's a shame because it locked up and excellent area to the lake for shorebound anglers. But hey they're the ones destroying the place and usually the ones tearing up and down the dirt roads to get to these lakes

Cleveland
Cleveland harbor is excellent for everything from perch to bass. Largemouth and smallmouth. Plus all the rivers. You got the grand river and Rocky River which are both great smallmouth waters. Head just a but SE and you got mosquito lake which is full of big crappie pike walleye largemouth perch and catfish. A little farther south lake Milton and westbranch for muskies walleyes crappies bass and cats you also have Berlin lake down that way which has everything including pike as does westbranch. The amount of quality fishing within an hour of Cleveland is amazing. Are you shore bound or do you have a boat

Flipping, jigging and frogging rods
13 omen in either medium heavy or heavy action. Either rod with a fast tip. Depending on how heavy of cover you may want to stick with a heavy action rod. What weight jigs do you plan to fish

Most difficult techniques?
All jig fish from beginning of September last year in extremely hot water on a miserably hot day. When I talked to another boat that say he said he could not get a bite on anything it had me discouraged . I don't know how many fish I caught that day easily 20+. These were the 5 biggest with a 5.75# kicker. Learn the jig and become confident with it. You can catch quality fish 12 months a year

Most difficult techniques?
Flipping and pitching for me are my strong suit. Also fishing big worms I'm good at. Deep cranking I'm hoorible at like going to sell my big cranking rod if I don't figure it out bad Hand to hand combat. Short line distances. And tunnel vision. When I get on that jig bite I get in a world of my own where I see feel and smell nothing else but the task at hand. Pick one or two jig colors and sizes and stick with them. You can completely change the way a jig acts feels and looks with your trailer

Rod saver straps
Now if they had the bungee ones with a button like the retractable ones that would be sweet. But i stepped on that hook one time and had enough of it already haha.
-
Rod saver straps
Those were on my boat when I got it. They came off in short order. Stepped on the loop one time.
-
Rod saver straps
Maby I will just break down and buy the retractable ones. Buy once cry once

Estimating Fish Weight Prior to Landing
Hahaha me and my buddies act like him just to mess with other boaters . We always get the most ridiculous looks. Catch a 14" bass and freak out ha.beers at the lakeside restaurant with lunch could possibly contribute to this

How is your Curado K holding up?
Trolling for saugeyes the shadrap I was trolling bounced into the whitewash of the motor when we were turning around and sucked my rod right off the back deck into 20 fow. We fished for that rod for a verryyyy long time with no luck. d**n near $400 for the rod and reel gone not my best day on the water
-
Rod saver straps
Thanks guys. Can't decide on which one I want to go with. I like the clean look of the retractable just don't know if I want to spend that much on a strap

Who's the best pro angler right now?
You would have to look at it like football. Rushing yards etc...... Break it down into limits weighed in, big bass of tourney, # of tourneys won and # of top 10 or 15 finishes for the season That would tell you who the most consistent angler is which in turn should truly equal the best. Or just look at AOY standings although I believe this is about how they score for it. Which is how it pretty much gets scored in any club I have fished

Estimating Fish Weight Prior to Landing
Because he is a certified idiot. End of question. As good of a fisherman he is I just cannot watch the guy. I believe what we have here is a case of tiny D_____ Syndrome. It's really the only logical explanation

MLF Summit cup Championship
Yeah the back thing really stuck out to me. Especially since I'm literally stuck right now with a broken back and a bunch of other stuff from a work accident at the beginning on February. With 5 broken vertebrae 5 screws and 2 rods in my back now I just laughed at him flopping around like a carp I just shot with the ole ams bowfishing rig And yeah being fatigued. He wouldn't be wore out after a few hours if he would settle the hell down a bit

Look at all them boats!
Seems to have disappeared over there or I just can't find it but I know I seen it. It was like deja Vu haha

MLF Summit cup Championship
I agree it was a good tourney. And Ike. Can't stand the guy. My seven year old is better composed with big fish than ike is. As good a fisherman he is I just can't stand him. When he almost fell in that was my favorite thing I seen him do the entire show! And the weighmaster probably wants him to fall overboard at full speed or take a crankbait to the lips

How is your Curado K holding up?
I just bought a curado k the other day. If anyone can muff it up I am sure to be that guy. Its going to be mainly a flipping/pitching reel and some frog fishing. It will be put through the test. It's an 8.5:1 hopefully it can handle the abuse. Hopefully it's as good a reel as my chronarch I lost in the lake a few years back. Still sick over that one ?
