  1. I throw em a lot, and I throw them in some nasty places so I lose a few here and there.
  2. This is crazy....Wheeler to DC, to Wheeler to DC. Like literally every cast they all have 3lb bass. This is going to get good!
  3. I vote trolling motor as well. It is nice to have FFS, but at the end of the day it is a lot nicer to be able to be spot locked.
  4. Yea, I think it has a lot to do with chasing as well. I know these guys are following schools once they see them on FFS. But yea spotlock all day in the current / wind will also help drain em quick.
  5. DC's TM batteries were dead with 40 minutes remaining yesterday as well. I think it is the wind, and the guys chasing the smallmouth schools all day.
  6. Try the choppo, if they are blowing up on it, and not getting it. Then switch to a walking bait so you can keep the bait in the strike zone longer. Always have a follow up bait (T-rig) for missed blowups too.
  7. I have the 6th Sense subscription. Other than that, I only spend money on replacing specific lures, or line etc. I did however buy $250 worth of jackhammers and chatterbaits before the season started.
  8. If I had to fish it, I would fish it really slow. Drop shot, or a slow moving 10in worm. Probably would not catch anything, but that is what I would throw I guess.
  9. lol I think the last tournament in the MLF is in September. But this tournament seems forever long though with all the drop shotting. However DC is getting it!
  10. Well...on to the knockout round. It looks like Wheeler has picked up where he left off. He is leading the pack, with charged TM batteries for now!
  11. Being ranked #1 in the world I am assume he has them. Hopefully he can get that squared away tomorrow on his off day.
  12. Not sure if he has lithiums or not. He did say though, that he has been on the TM all day, and the wind has been getting it all day.
  13. Wheeler is done...trolling motor batteries are dead. He is now graphing the rest of the 40 minutes remaining. Hope he can continue the momentum here for the knockout, and championship rounds.
  14. It will be interesting to see how this weather front changes things. I bet it will help the bite!
  15. No surprise here starting day 2. Wheeler is on the heels of Lucas with close to 150lbs. These guys simply no how to catch em regardless of what body of water they are on. This may be a record setting day!
  16. Mine would be trying new techniques or adjusting as well. I am set on like 5 different baits if you will it seems. If I cannot get them jerkin, crankin or one of my other moving baits I am not going to have a great day. Also I am like a KVD as far as power fishing goes, I hate drop shotting etc. If I slowed down I would probably be more productive.
  17. I only use my net for things like Pike or something else. I always flip my bass, or grab them out of the water. One of these days it will come back to bite me, but it has not yet.
  18. It is going to be interesting to see if Wheeler has enough off shore compared to Salzman on the dam. I think Wheeler will run out of time this afternoon if he does not get a few quickly here at the beginning of the period.
  19. It is very difficult to ever bet against Wheeler. He has adapted very well, and I think will be the next KVD as far as legacy is concerned.
  20. This cannot be overstated. If you are going to make the investment then I would make the investment where you will be able to network everything together. With everything being expensive I would want to make the most out of what I can. I like the Ultrex and ran it last year. But with all new HDS units in my new boat, I couldn't fathom using the Ultrex over the Ghost. Even if you do not currently use all the features that you could have networking everything, you will still want the option to. It will be more expensive later to switch it.
  21. I love how Mark Davis just casually sits down on the front of the boat, and drags a worm around.
  22. Nope. I will keep my boat filled up. I am not going to let dumb stuff ruin what I enjoy doing. it cost 125 to fill up my boat from about half way for my two day tournament this weekend. I would do it again next weekend too.
  23. I typically find the structure with my skeg, then I turn around and fish it. It happened to me last weekend, and I placed 3rd in my tournament lol. Gotta love those large rock piles, the smallies are on em all the time!
  24. Oh, if padded carpet does not come standard, I would look in to it. I love the padded carpet I have.
  25. Oddly for me, it was a weird event. I casted a blue and black small sqaure bill and caught a small crappie with it, and while I was reeling in the crappie, a 5.5+ largemouth ate the crappie. So I counted it as a legit catch.
