My 1448 will run 4.3 mph and handles great with my 80 lb Terrova. I have 3 group 31's, floor, casting deck, and a 25 hp on it so it's not light weight. Stability wise the decked 1448 is about the same as my 1436 with the lower seating(no deck). Big wide open windy lakes I take the 1448 and smaller protected lakes I take the 1436 with the 55 lb Terrova.

When I happen to run low on CXX for my swimbait reels Big Game is what I'll spool up with. On standard BC I'll run Stren when fishing mono.

Launch fee and Parking fee are the same thing around these parts.

Bought me a 10' flat bottom, paddle, and 10 lb anchor for $75 at 14. Totally agree with WRB. My 1448 flat will rough you up and get you wet in the wind. The V will slice through the waves.

Do you fish your reels as they come out of the box or tune them and change bearings etc. ?

Threw the S- Waver 168 and 200, 145 Slide Swimmer and Giganterel for 5 hours Sunday in 55 - 58.5 degree water Sunday. Couldn't even draw a follow, but we've had record precipitation and it's a bit stained up, on a typically clearish lake. Picked up the Ned and caught 7 in 2.5 hours in grass from 3' to 15' with big one being 4.91. Got to fish what they want and not what we want to catch them on.

I picked up a couple Curado 70's a few years ago that had the same problem. I contacted Shimano and was told they had a run of thin spacers and sent me new spacers. Installed and they worked properly.

Find a bow fisherman with good lights to take you out at night. I've shot 17' Gizzard shad at night that I'd never seen in the daylight. Now I throw big shad baits.

Yes. My Black Magic will suspend with 10 lb fluorocarbon & a snap. Catches fish.

Options are 2 hours in a dehydrator, 10 minutes in the clothes dry(high), 63 seconds in the microwave, or just don't fret and fish it. You could have the section of hook that's gonna be inside the plastic powder coated. Just think how long that section will last stuck on the lake bottom between 2 rocks.

Slow down & then slow down more. Get intimate with a body of water that has a big fish in #'s. Fish high percentage places, not where you caught 10, 12, or 15 two lbers.

Maybe the are referring to a 8' telescoping rod. I've measured 1600's & 1700's and none will fit an 8' rod.

Use them on dock lights for hybrids.
