  1. @Jmurphy87 & @Derek1 don’t let the fear of ordering from Japan hold you back, other than some minor differences between the usdm and JDM models such as smaller/shorter handles and aluminum vs brass gears the frames are the same and the cost savings are too good to miss out on. I’ve ordered 2 times from Japan Lure Shop and couldn’t be happier. Also @Jmurphy87 can you tell me where you saw the updated SLX MGL? Funny enough my last order was a SLX MGL from JLS.
  2. @J._Bricker We have Amazon prime in my house but it’s secondary as a streaming service due to buying so much stuff on Amazon and if they require a separate subscription my wife and I agree we’re not going down that road. With that said my 17 year old son has friends coming by tonight and it appears they will be streaming both the UFC fights and the game tonight 😃
  3. @J._Bricker I think you hit the nail on the head here. But I still call 🐂💩on paying to watch any sport especially my hometown teams.
  4. @PhishLI I was going to give you a like but that last line made me about spit my beer out of my nose 😆
  5. I just heard it’s coming back to the Tinley Park convention center February 16th, 17th & 18th and they’re supposedly doubling the size and vendors. Although I wasn’t impressed last year if I’m around I’ll be there.
  6. Are/were they available in the Japanese domestic market?
  7. @Puggz I was gifted a spinning reel this past season by our very own @bulldog1935 with a double handle, first time I’ve ever used one and I will say it has made me a believer in the balance on the retrieve if that makes sense. It may be in my head but dang if it didn’t have a certain feel that has me wanting to look into a double handle for an older Daiwa I have (Laguna), the reel he sent me is a Tica btw.
  8. @Fishing_FL_WI_Will Although I don’t normally use expensive spinning reels I did purchase both a Daiwa BG 1500 and a Stradic 1000 last spring both at a great price. I will say both performed well but there’s something special about the Daiwa even with the weight, the line lay is absolutely perfect and the reel is eerily smooth.
  9. @ReggieT Unfortunately no pictures but wax worms were my gateway back into fishing years ago. I used to rig them on a 1/32 ounce jig head 1 threaded on the hook then 1 pierced about an 1/8 of the way down from either end on a slip bobber, caught everything that swam in the retention ponds 😃
  10. @RipzLipz Have you posted photos of Easy🤔
  11. @J Francho That’s an awesome reference 😃
  12. @RipzLipz Every picture I see of Kevin brings a smile to my face 😃
  13. I didn’t get a chance to post but yesterday was our 5 year foster fail of what has turned out to be one of the best dogs my wife and I have ever had both together and as kids😃 BTW his name is Steve 😉
  14. @TOXIC I’m certainly not trying to disagree with you but again 3 squirts and 2 pushes on the primer bulb and it fired right up. I’m also going to try to find non ethanol fuel myself at least for my snow blower which doesn’t get used too much thankfully and to store my lawn mower for the winter. @Jar11591 I bought a bottle of that exact stuff last year when I couldn’t find sea foam and I’ll definitely find Fuel enzyme treatment. Any specific suggestions on the enzyme fuel treatment?
  15. I store my Toro snowblower which is a 2 stroke for extended periods with Sta Bil but still had a problem starting it this year. I put 3 squirts of this in the gas and 1 pull and it started right up. Anyone else use this? I did a search before posting so as to not rehash a bunch of previous posts.
  16. @JackstrawIII 👍🏻 I’m with you on the use of left handed reels.
  17. @JackstrawIII For what it’s worth 2 of the many reels mentioned here are being sold in the flea market currently both Daiwas by the same seller. I have zero affiliation with the seller btw.

As far as the rod goes I just did a google search and found the price of the aforementioned Falcon rod. I can definitely see going to my local Wal Mart could become my bait monkeys favorite activity 😆

@gimruis I’m out of reactions for the day. I wasn’t sure about the Purina at first but that’s what the dog was used to and our vet said it’s actually a quality food which made me happy to hear.

@gimruis I picked up 2 bags of Purina One as 2 of my dogs get a mixture of that and Bil Jac and the other gets a mixture of Bil Jac and a prescription food for colitis.

Oh boy I just stopped into my local Wal Mart and man they’ve stepped up their game 😬 I was able to keep the 🙊 at bay but barely at that. Too many temptations including 6th sense crank baits and square bills along with some really nicely colored googan squad cranks, lipless cranks and square bills and to top it off a Falcon Evo rod in 6’-0” light action that I thankfully couldn’t find the price of as I wandered down to pick up my dogs food. I have a bad feeling about this upcoming season 😆
  22. @A-Jay That’s a promising update 👍🏻 Fingers crossed we read more in the upcoming months 🙏🏼
  23. @Hulkster Although this isn’t meant as a poke to you I have a few different rods with non Fuji reel seats and have zero issues with them including one of my favorite reel seats being on a Wright & McGill rod which I believe is a sea guide reel seat along with Okuma EVX rod that I believe has a sea guide reel seat although I could be mistaken. I think the issue lies more in the reel itself as I have an older Abu spinning reel that will not tighten down in my BPS panfish elite rod which has a Fuji reel seat without a shim under the reel foot. @FrnkNsteen I will agree with you that the specific panfish rod you’re showing is far too much plastic imho and what led me to the panfish elite rod in the first place.
  24. @Shadow1 Although I’ve not fished with a fury I’ve handled them a few times in store and feel the 13 fishing lineup is a little better value for the price. Just my opinion of course.
  25. @Puggz I live in Illinois myself and have placed 2 orders through Japan Lure Shop for reels in the last 2 years. Both times I’ve paid 2000 yen ($13.94) for shipping but they include a premium lure with each purchase. The Jack Hammer pictured and a Megabass vision 110 jr.
