What kind of bait are you talking about? Some of mine are quite simple and only take a short time while others require many steps.

I am sure someone has an easy way. For me it is a pain in the butt and I won't take the time. You need some type of rod. I use a bolt which I dipped in fiberglass resin to cover the threads. You coat it with oil and dip it into the plastisol. The more dips the thicker the tube. Once is sets up a little you can roll it off the rod. Later you have to cut the tail strips. Carpet knife blades bolted together then put in a vise work ok. You hold the tube on the blades and roll a dowell across the tube cutting it. Then you have to pick loose all the parts that didn't fully cut. SEE what a pain it is.

You can use lots of different things. I use Bondo. There is a post on here from a while back about it.

I haven't had to replace any on my boat but I did have some go bad on a tool box once. The replacements were very high so I went to an auto parts store and bought them for less than 1/2 of what the box people wanted.

What ever my problem is some where around the 40 gallon mark makes it better. I have a 55 gallon tank so my problem must either be close to the top of the tank or have something to do with expansion of the gasoline in the tank.

The lights you are describing are usually for crappie or white bass fishing at night. If you are fishing for bass, you would be better off getting a black light if you need to see better. If you get some hi vis line it will look like a well rope in that black light.

I fish lower lake waters most of the time to avoid traffic and other fishermen. Those areas are devoid of cover except rocks. The water is clear and when the sun is out the fish leave the bank. I fish a lot of jigs (football heads don't get hung up as much in rocks) and tubes. I also t rig craws. It isn't unusual to find fish in the 30' range so just back off the bank and fish those points till you find out where the fish are located. They will usually be around the points if not right on them.

Mine has been in 5 years mounted that way and haven't even had to be tightened and it has a gazillion miles both road and water on it.

My boat is that way also in the port rod locker when I fill the boat up. I have learned to only keep about 40 gallons in that doesn't happen. Like you I can't get to everything for a good look.

Even places like wal-mart carry eyes and tips. You could buy one and pick up some fletching cement to use to install it. That way you can safely and easily remove it if you ever need to.

I know what you mean. I had an idea for a bait last winter. I finally went to a machine shop. They said they could make it for me with up to 100 cavities. The cost would have been around $400 so I passed.

It seems to me like you have 1 more wire than you need but I am not sure of your switch configuration. For the 12v part you will need 1 r and 1 b to go to your #1 battery. Then you need a b wire to the - post of the #2 battery. In order to make the 24v you need a jumper from - battery #1 to + battery #2. Your extra wire must be so that the switch can run them in = and use both batteries for 12v.

I have 6 or 7 Symmetrys. They date back to 01-02. They are virtually trouble free if maintained. I also have Stradics and can't see much difference except for a second shaft bearing on the Stradics.

I have both. The 844 I use for 1/2 oz jigs and larger. I also use it for 1/2 oz spinnerbaits and 1/2 oz buzz baits. I find that for me the 843 will handle a good range of baits 1/2 oz and smaller. If I only had one it would be the 843.

Get a #10 ball bearing swivel and it should do the job.

I take them out with a metal bar. I put it next to the transducer and give it a pop. When you go to install a new one you will have to grind out all of the old glue.

If you can get one locally, why not buy it and try it. If you don't get it dirty and don't like it you should be able to exchange it. I use a lot of short spinning rods but my shortest casting rod that I use is 6.5'.

I really like the arke jig. I used to make a lot of them till I found that football heads come through rock better and I fish a bunch of rockpiles.

Mike I may be wrong but I think he is saying there is no floor drain to the bilge area. All it takes is a drain screen from a marine dealer and a hole saw.

I can't really tell what the head looks like. It it an arke.
