  1. I have the tatula 3000 CHX and absolutely love it. But both reels are nice
  2. If you don’t like it for crankin try using it for jerkbaits.
  3. I would go medium I have the regular tatula 7’ medium and love it I’m sure the xt is super nice also.
  4. I would say it’s over kill take a look at the Okuma nomad express travel rod. I have the 7’11 heavy it’s a very nice travel rod a should be a great punch rod I never tried throwing a frog on it I could try it and let you know. It’s 4 pieces and comes with a case you can carry it right in the plane.
  5. Yes all the time on my spinning rod I use with jerkbaits.
  6. I’m in southeast Wisconsin I have a pretty good supply of jerkbaits. Mostly KVD and lucky craft. I also can’t bring myself to buy the megabass my luck a 18” pike would steal it on my first cast.

  9. The tatula sv pairs great with the tatula rod go figure. I just got the 7’3 multi purpose elite rod and 6.3 sv reel it’s a awesome combo.

  11. I love my og tatula rods I have a 7’2 H. A 7’4 frog and a 7’6 flip. Amazon had a bunch of the 7’6 but they are all gone. Good luck on finding one
  12. I throw jerkbaits on casting and spinning gear my spinning set up is a 7’ medium Daiwa tatula rod with a Tatula 3000 CHX with 10lb yellow braid with a 10lb copoly leader.
  13. I use a Dobyns fury 795 sb for my heavier treble bait's. You can also look at the heavy cranking stick at bass pro I have a 7'3 heavy that is awesome for s waver 168's
