Walmart cat fish special spinning rod. It’s cheap,strong it’s not very light but will do what you want.

I would ask this do you fish a lot of grass ? I fish jigs 3/8 - 1/2 oz a lot and fish them in some thicker vegetation. I did not like my m/h rod for this I stepped up to a 7’2 Heavy Tatula and I’m much happier. If I was fishing mostly gravel bottoms a m/h would have been fine. I use 15lb fluorocarbon.

I would get the sandwich bracket for the tallons. It goes between the motor and transom and uses the existing holes that the motor mounts with. No need to drill extra holes in your boat.

Maybe a 7’3’ish heavy could use as frog / small swimbait/ flipping rod. In my opinion you should have at least one heavy rod.

The new model is horrible compared to the original. I would not recommend this rod. The plastic reel seat is plain junk.

Not at all I took someone to one spot and asked him not to say anything. Well two days later he was there with another guy and posting catches on fish brain. I expressed my concern and never took him fishing again. by the way where is the lake I’m always looking for a new place ? LOL

I use a tatula CHX 3000 10lb braid to a leader with a 7’ medium tatula spinning rod.

Got the reel today very nice and light & cast’s awesome. And it matches my OG Tatula rod perfect.

I use a 7’4 seems to be perfect for me.

The 7’6 tatula flipping rod is awesome I have the original and love it I also drag jigs with a tatula 7’2 heavy also original.

My jig combo is a OG Tatula 7’2 H with a Lews tournament pro lfs 7.5

Sounds like the anti reverse bearing needs to be cleaned or replaced. One of mine was doing this and I cleaned the bearing and it took care of the issue.

I bought the the tournament pro from them.

The sv is a awesome reel I have 3 it just doesn’t feel right throwing certain baits.

I’m replacing a tatula sv 103 with the tournament pro. I just can’t get the distance with the tatula.

This will be on a 7’2 heavy mainly for 3/8-3/4 oz jigs and Texas rigs.

I have spool pin pliers when I get the reel I’ll flush the bearings and re oil them.

How do you like it ? I just ordered one I was tossed up between it and a bb1 pro. But went with the tournament pro.
