  1. I pretty much stick with 1/2 oz. don’t know if it’s the best but it works for me.
  2. Palomar I clinch it down as tight as I can but still leave a little extra tag end in case it’s not tight enough.
  3. He’s not doing anything I was watching the second time it happened his hand weren’t even close to the reel.
  4. Brand new stock reel nothing was changed.
  5. Suffix 832 10lb high viz yellow.
  6. Not sure when the reel engaged the last time it locked up pretty good. He’s going to send it in for repair just waiting till Monday to call.
  7. I removed the side plate and didn’t see anything. He’s going to call Monday morning.
  8. My buddy was fishing today and his reel engaged mid cast twice & The second time the spool was rubbing on the reel frame and the spool tension knob Does not loosen up the spool meaning there is no side play no matter how loose the tension knob is. Any ideas what might have happened. This is a new 6:3 used about 4 trips.
  9. I brag about 5 lbr s.
  10. Kind of like Wisconsin Id say 7 or 8 I’ve got a few 6+ but never a 7 that will be a trophy in my boat.
  11. Can’t comment on your rods but instead of fluorocarbon you might want to use mono for your top water mono floats flouro sinks.
  12. No the new version of the shock rod with the plastic reel seat are garbage and a wast of money.
  13. Take a look at the 7’11 heavy Okuma nomad xpress it’s a great rod it’s a 4 piece rod that you can bring right on a airplane. It will throw 3/4 oz fine https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-OKUMARDS.html?from=basres
  14. I have a LUND 1875 impact I absolutely love it I really like the pro v bass and the LUND renegade.
  15. This is exactly what I use I like my jerkbaits to suspend. Sometimes in late fall fluorocarbon is good when I want a slow sink.
  16. If the pond is free of weeds now a jerkbait would be my first choice Or a 3/8 oz jig and trailer
  17. If you have a bass pro shop go look at the cranking stick on sale for about 70 bucks is a nice crankbait rod.
  18. I tried it once I missed a lot of fish and I pulled the hooks out of a lot of fish I stick to fluorocarbon on my crankbaits rods.
  19. If they swallow that they have no chance. I’ve never really had any issues with the single hook.
  20. new model I have is 7’3 Heavy. previous models are 7’ medium & 7’ m/h. older brown model 7’ medium. I have 3 generations of the rod I don’t see a drop in quality it’s a cheap rod even when not on sale. The 7’3 heavy is a awesome deep crankbait rod & a great mag top water rod say plopper 130’s The 7’ medium is a awesome squarebill/jerkbait rod
  21. Bass pro cranking stick on sale now I have a few and there great. You don’t need a expensive rod for cranking. Take the money you saved and buy some baits.
  22. I would throw a jerkbait and a lipless crankbait and a jig
  23. Weightless super fluke Texas Rig.
