  1. I haven’t had any of those issues. I bought mine because I wanted the closest thing to a bass boat I could get that I could load into the back of my pickup. I only fish standing up and you can’t do that and move around in a pedal kayak but you can in the old town it’s super stable. Also super heavy. Lifetime hull warranty. There is also a spot for the transducer in front of the trolling motor. Plus the guy at dicks sporting goods let me use the 10% off coupon on it plus triple points day so in the end I actually got like $375 off plus a couple hundred in gift cards.
  2. I have an autopilot. Just curious what the guy said to talk you out of it?
  3. My buddy has a tatula and it’s nice but if you call around you can get a vanford for around the same price and its a bit better imo but they are both great.
  4. My levante whipsnake is more sensitive than my expride ml was. If the Zodias is anything like the expride then it will be pretty soft compared to the whipsnake which is a much faster action which helps for casting and I think sensitivity as well.
  5. Anybody ever fish this rod? I can’t help but wonder if the blank is similar to the conquest 905 and I am also trying to compare it to the expride 7’11” xh.
  6. Ended up getting the orochi emtf. Man this feels a lot like a 903 but hopefully it’s a little lighter and more parabolic we will see.
  7. Out of all these rods which one would you choose for mid diving cranks and lipless cranks? Yes I know not all of these are crankbait specific rods. Secondary use would be small swimbaits in the 1/4 to 3/8 jig head with a 4” swimbait.
  8. Towards the end of this video they talk about the new bass x swimbait rods. Around the 43:00 mark.
  9. The moderate one would probably be great for square bills.
  10. Yes it has a green tint buts it’s a disappointingly boring shade of green.
  11. Gerber magniplier salt or fresh
  12. I’m going to stock up this winter and want to see what everybody’s staples are. I’m guessing most people will have the sk red eye and the original rat-l-trap but maybe I’m wrong.
  13. Yeah you’ll be fine with the 6’10” m Shimano or a loomis 842 mbr would probably be even better.
  14. Most will comment on the one rod they have tried. I have owned within the past year zodias, victory, dobyns, levante and others. I'm not going to say one is a clear choice but I will say this: 1. Zodias is probably the lightest and second most sensitive. Not a great warranty. 2. Levante is the most sensitive by far but heavier. Not a great warranty. 3. Victory light but not very sensitive. Great warranty. 4. Dobyns champion is boring but really sensitive and great warranty and awesome trade up program so even if you can't afford the champion you could always trade up to it later. I chose levante for the sensitivity.
  15. I have the levante and it's super sensitive I fish it next to my nrx+ and its holds its own. The tip isn't nearly as soft as the expride ml, that thing was a noodle.
  16. Yeah I saw that I'm looking for straight green pumpkin if possible. If I can't find it I will just try all the other ones that are close.
  17. I can't find a lipless crank bait that is just plain green pumpkin. You'd think since its the number 1 soft plastic color someone would at least try to make a lipless in this color.
  18. I have a few nrx+ and a bunch of Shimano reels. My all time combo is my conquest 844mbr and metanium b.
  19. I’m selling a 2021 Shimano nasci that I only used twice for $75 in the flea market forum and that’s exactly what I was using it for and it worked great. I can’t believe how nice it is for the price. All my other reels are higher end and this one feels on par with them. Only reason I’m selling it is because I’m addicted to vanfords.
  20. For what it’s worth I bought a victory 7’1” victory also and have also owned multiple zodias including the newer ones. I sold all the Zodias and the victory because the megabass levante line was much more sensitive. If you need a great warranty go dobyns or st croix but for strictly sensitivity I would go whipsnake. I also owned the expride 6’10 ml and the levante is better.
  21. All I know is that the levante line is super sensitive for the price. I had the tour versatile and I have whipsnake right now. All my other rods are glx, nrx+ and conquest, and destroyer so that’s what I’m comparing to.
  22. My 844 conquest is my if you could only have one rod rod. But if I wanted a jig specific rod I would probably go nrx+ jwr 4 power in whatever length you prefer. I have the 854. I like the 7’1” so I can skip my jigs a little easier.
  23. I own dobyns, st croix, loomis, Shimano and megabass. Get a megabass levante whipsnake. Most sensitive rod line at the price point.
