  1. Or an 842 mbr. I have and 844 and an 842 and that’s exactly what I got the 842 for but an 843 would work also depending on how much power you prefer. Or an 842 mbr. 2. I was frustrated at first too until I got an anchor wizard.
  3. Me and a kid I know just got into kayak fishing and are going to drive down from Columbus Ohio. Honestly guys we are paddling and will have about 6 or 7 hours to fish maybe. How are things down there right now? Any good areas for kayaks? (Safe and have fish) Are there any areas that don’t allow outboards? Not looking to ruin anybody’s spots we just want to be safe and catch and release a few fish since it will be a long day of driving. Thanks!
  4. Can someone please tell me why in the g loomis videos on YouTube (us and Europe) they keep saying the mbr have faster actions than the jwr???! This is goofy and the opposite of what has been the case for years. Are they getting their acronyms mixed up or what’s the deal? (I’m not referring to the tactical bassin video)
  5. This is a good question. For me I didn’t see enough of a difference to replace my conquest 844. Other than the reel seat and the guides it seems like most of the tech did trickle down from the conquest.
  6. I’m selling one of these actually in the flea market, I really like it only reason I’m selling is because I ordered a few nrx’s ?
  7. Man I was in the same boat so I had to order both?‍♂️
  8. Order yours now at AL. I did!
  9. I know a lot have gotten their jdm reels but has anybody received their USA version? I preordered a long time ago and am still waiting. Anybody know when it’s coming?
  10. 7’3” h casting for frogs and heavy cover or a dedicated crankbait rod.
  11. Are you walking the frog? If not try it. But you really would be better off throwing a walking style bait if the grass is below the surface, that way your hookup percentage will go up and the ones with the big knockers in them pull fish well.
  12. I’m in central Ohio and have caught a few 4s one 5 and one 6 which is huge for here.
  13. Tatulas are definitely lighter than fury’s maybe you have a composite tatula. I would consider dobyns for the trade up option they have. They give you a decent amount of credit to trade up to a higher model. Or I would call around and find someone who will sell you st croix victory for close to 150. You will find someone if your buying multiple rods at the same time and you call enough places.
  14. Yeah but that’s spinning conquest spinning also have split grips. I was wondering about the casting models mainly
  15. Are the casting models full cork? I’m going crazy.
  16. Daiwa tatula. Super light and well balanced would be good for working that frog.
  17. To me there are two huge factors 1. Size of the body of water 2. Electronics If your fishing a tiny pond you can take your time because there are definitely fish in there looking at you bait. Number 2 if you use electronics to find fish you can also fish as slow as you want because you know the fish are there. If neither of the above apply then your time may be better spent covering as much water and targets as you can with a moving bait which could be called fishing fast.
  18. I agree if you have the funds get the metanium mgl not the dc. It is the all around best reel on the market right now to me and I have a few dc reels as well.
  19. What do you guys use your 842 for? I also am thinking about getting one.
  20. Let’s please stick to what I originally posted. I definitely respect your opinion but my question was directed towards high end rod owners not people who choose not to buy them. You could always start a new thread about that topic if you would like. Thanks.
  21. I’m glad I asked. It’s cool to hear the standards of someone who actually builds rods.
  22. I did damage a guide on an expride which got me thinking man what if this happens to the destroyer or conquest.
  23. I was thinking about a mb destroyer I have and all the intricacies of the guide wraps. I wasn’t sure how many rod builders are up to the task of redoing a megabass guide.
