  1. Hmmm some coincidence here. Lost mine 7 yrs ago never to be seen again. I even had targets stapled inside binder showing powder, bullet weights and the groups they produced. Also written down was chronograph and where each caliber needed to hit at various yardage to achieve a 100 yard zero......frustrating loss for sure. Only saving grace is FIL and brother are both avid reloaders. Oh, believe mine was left behind at firing range in WV.
  2. Amazing what the body can handle when young, the abuse. Slept at the boat ramps coming and going many times. At 60 yrs old and still the passion for fishing I've found it much easier to take advantage of campgrounds on the lake in an RV. Get a good night's rest and still on the water at Dawn and still back in time to make breakfast for the wife and I.
  3. When I'm fishing alone I target the the fat ones. When I'm fishing with the wife I'm just fishing.
  4. Oh wow, keep your chin up and stay positive.
  5. If it's something your going to stick with and enjoy just upgrade the kayak. Both of my fishing yaks have 475 lb limit so that means I can bring 300 lbs of tackle. Lol
  6. I take the same rods as I did in the bass boat just not as many. Fishing kayaks by nature are very stable so tipping on hook set shouldn't be an issue unless you're a really big guy in an underrated kayak.
  7. There's always a big bass lurking.
  8. We have lots of bluegill where I fish and they go tap tap tap half way back to the boat. I've found bigger fish move the bait. Also found that floating braid can serve well as a bite detector on the fall.
  9. Early spring " pre spawn " is Jerkbait must throw season but year around has proven productive.
  10. Labor day weekend usually signals a big slowdown to pleasure boat season. Like mentioned, this year it may be less noticeable than in the past.
  11. I agree, hard to beat a buzzbait and fun to throw.
  12. Pearl suspending Jerkbait 3/8 white/red spinnerbait Drop-shot Roboworm Aaron's magic
  13. That is outrageous I'm telling you. My brother and I do tree removal on the side and charge $200 and we keep the wood.
  14. It really depends on where you fish, bottom line. Gotta be honest here, I fished and casted much more accurately from the big stable platform of my previous bass boat but had to drive to far to bigger waters to warrant the ownership of such. Exclusively fishing out of a bigger kayak with trolling motor for convenience and enjoying fishing the smaller local lakes and ease of access. If I had bigger water in proximity of my home.....bass boat hands down.
  15. Yes I believe Savage to be pretty good gun for the money , fan of the accu trigger. Someone mentioned that Savage made butt ugly rifles. Lol
  16. Well was planning on it until I shot a 16 station, 100 round sporting clay event last weekend......I hit 25% ?. Can I blame age ?
  17. See you got your priorities......sense of humor goes a long ways
  18. These natural disasters are unpredictable and unpreventable. Really praying everyone recovers quickly.
  19. I'm hoping for the same scenario way up river in the Shenandoah. SM numbers have dropped significantly over the past few years because of spawning conditions or lack of.
  20. Yes sir. She's a big one.

I'll just go ahead and make a bold prediction which is far fetched and unfathomable. CLEMSON wins the national title. Who saw that coming ? ?
  22. Looks like devastation is inevitable. Hope everyone stays safe and out of the path.
  23. Waiting for post Baccarac.....me wants pics.
  24. Always tie on the night before and usually hang with the gameplan until the bass say.....WRONG ! This time of year will always see the ole reliable T-rig worm after I'm finished throwing early morning buzzbaits.
  25. Carry a pair of these and simply cut the hook....works every time.
