Why does my braid keep breaking when I cast a buzz bait or a crank bait
Where did your "power pro" come from? I know more than a few of us have gotten burned by auction sellers and amazon.

Favorite reel grease and oil
That should work fine. To get the maximum performance, flush the spool bearings first.

Line problem
Are you holding the rod vertical when reeling in? or is the tiptop pointed horizontal, down or slightly up?
-
Line problem
8lb shouldnt give issues. I would check shims. That spooling can also happen when you hold the rod vertical and reel in with slack line.

Curado k issue
Fuego CT? Because mine take some effort to turn and the fact that they click lets you know if its moved.

Rod breaking
Were you holding the rod by the blank up near the tip top?

snap vs clip vs snap swivels???
Ive been using Norman speedclips for a while now. Some people complain about them opening up but personally i havent had it happen.

Anti-Reverse?
Remove AR bearing, clean in alcohol, let dry and reassemble with a half drop of oil on the sleeve. It sounds like you over oiled that bearing.

What is your favorite big bait reel
From my understanding this is the modern version of TEs right?

What is your favorite big bait reel
FYI a guy on the swimbait forums letting go of a 300 DSV and a 300E for $150 a pop. Talked to him last night and he still had them.

Copolymer--opinions?
Whats the fun in that??? Lets just biasedly cheer on our personal favorites and bash any other options that exist! YO ZURI HYBRID! EVERYTHING ELSE WILL SPOOK FISH, BREAK WHEN YOU TIE A KNOT, AND MELT ONTO YOUR SPOOL AFTER 2 WEEKS

- Can I use this setup for Swimbaits...and Musky?
Yeah at 1.5 oz upper rating youre in for a bad time if you try to cast hudds or "real" swimbaits. Even a smaller glide like a gantarel jr is at the upper end of this rods limit.- Loosing about 10 yds of distance between flouro & copoly
Even with the regular Yo Zuri Hybrid, something has changed. I try to buy old stock off eBay. Usually any colored Yo Zuri Hybrid will be the better stuff as all the recently produced stuff is clear afaik.- Going to grab this setup weds, what do you think?
Agreed. Braid lets you just pull backlashes out without fear of breaking or causing wear.- Copolymer--opinions?
8 years ago I bought a spool of 8lb test smoke colored Yo Zuri Hybrid because it was on closeout at Sports Authority for $2.50. I know use Yo Zuri Hybrid almost exclusively. Whenever possible i prefer the smoke color but its not always easy to find. Yo Zuri will stretch but makes stuff like Big Game feel like a rubberband. Feel on it is good and any memory it may have is quickly fixed by spraying it down with KVD line and lure. I would definitely recommend giving it a try but be careful as not all copolys are created equal. I myself tried several of the P Line products and found them to be fairly stiff despite sometimes lower diameter than Yo Zuri.- baitcaster preference
Same here. I wanted to like Shimano better ... i really did but these newer Daiwas are something nice. That said, I have not tried any "golden age" Shimanos only I and K series.- your first baitcasting reel
2005 - Pinnacle inertia finesse. I was about 19. Fished it as my only baitcaster for about 10 years. No pinion support and graphite frame were its only downsides. Good reel to learn casting and maintenance. Still keep it around. Rarely fish it but when in doubt as to how different lubrication will make a reel feel, its a nice thing to have. Being able to feel how greased bearings feel vs oiled and how different types of grease feel on gears is great.- Baitcaster question
Just like it sounds its a dimple on its surface. If your washer is perfectly flat then nothing to worry about. The Citica I is a really good reel. Only thing to look out for is to make sure you oil the brake drum.- Baitcaster question
Yes, I have both spacers. Those spacers will stay stuck to the cap held on by grease usually so make sure to look there. The square one is the one that dimpled on mine.- Baitcaster question
Pull the spool tension control knob off and check the washer under the cap. Citica I washers are a soft (compared to metal) fiber material and I've had one dimple with relatively light use. If you tightened it all the way down this may have happened. If if did, just flip the washer over.- Noisy Curado on retrieve
Maybe i cant hear it on that video. On the latest video it just sounds like the normal clacking from in/out shaft play when your drag is tightened down and youre reeling in fast without a load.- Best spinning rod for around 130$ or less
How long have you been together? < 1 yr = Berkley Cherrywood 1-2 yrs = Lews > 2 yrs = Dobyns - Can I use this setup for Swimbaits...and Musky?
