  1. Where is your rod tip pointing when youre reeling in w/out a fish on the line? Holding the rod more vertical with slack line presentations will do that to you
  2. How are you liking it? Im thinking about going down to 4 but im cheap and i dont want to lose more of anything than i have to
  3. Have to sign up for their newsletter and it will reveal it. You should get a pop up when you first go to the website. You might have to open a new browser if you closed the pop up. Im hoping these last through next Thursdays BPS Spring Classic so i can price match + trade in to steal a Curado K for less than $100 ... not holding my breath though
  4. Those tiny brace rubber bands
  5. Curado HGK - $128 + 10% off promo Left and Right available https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/shimano-curado-k-low-profile-baitcast-reel-231582.html
  6. https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/shimano-curado-k-low-profile-baitcast-reel-231582.html hardly see good sales on these ... but theres one today
  7. The older cherrywoods with the gold guides before they went to the black aluminum oxide guide inserts are some of the most sensitive rods Ive handled (granted, i havent megabassed). Its lightweight and sensitivity is achieved by using cheap materials that will not hold up for much time. Still, Id be willing to put one of those up against any other rod in a sensitivity contest.
  8. On the inside of the cap there should be a bushing either black or metallic. Put a drop on the bushing.
  9. Try adding a drop of oil to the bushing on the spool tension knob and maybe grease on the threads of it. Sometimes a dry spool tension knob bushing will get grabby and sometimes the threads for the knob wear down.
  10. Why are unweighted senkos everyones measure for casting light lures? even unweighted, senkos are fairly heavy IMO and should cast well with most any lowpro baitcaster
  11. They could very well be original and just seconds with minor defects? I have no idea i just know eyes falling off havent been a problem with individuals ive had for over a year and have already come off three of these in a couple of outings.
  12. Lucky Craft on sale again https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B082DQST55/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have reason to believe these are not authentic but do use authentic lucky craft bodies. The paint/eyes dont seem to last as long but the hooks are good quality and they definitely catch fish!
  13. What did you break exactly? Any interest in selling some parts?
  14. heard good things about https://www.matthewsreelrepair.com/contact-us.html havent used personally but a coworker has and was satisfied with results. This was a while back so not sure if still in business.
  15. If possible, take the AR out in one piece. Not sure if thats how it is on that particular reel but on some the bearings will come out of the housing and can be a pain to put back in.
  16. If the shirt helps catch more fish Im all for it! Point of asking questions here is to get info from people who have much more experience individually than me, let alone combined. I don't get as much time on the water as I'd like to so i want to make the most of it, and learning from others helps make that possible.
  17. For casual catfishing a regular ambassadeur or daiwa millionaire should suit you just fine
  18. The 10 ft isnt the problem, the mono is
  19. I can't believe everyone here is encouraging him like this is a good idea! If you aren't using a MegaBass Destroyer paired with a Metanium DC I highly doubt this will work ...
  20. I may be the minority here but balance with a spinning reel is almost a non factor for me. Larger spinning reel = less line twist so a size 30 would be my pick over a 25.
  21. So I was able to get some Sam Griffin baits and will get a chance to use them this weekend. I haven't done much topwater fishing with prop baits and was wondering what everyone's favorite knot was for these and other topwaters? Use a snap? Tie direct knot? Tie loop knot? What knot works best for prop baits, poppers, stick baits?
  22. Here is a friendly PSA So for anyone who has health insurance through blue cross blue shield, they have a program called "On Wellness". You basically login to your Blue Cross Blue Shield account and click on "On Wellness" in the left margin. The program allows you to earn points and redeem them for pretty much anything. So why is this important? Well currently I can get 660yds of Sniper FC for about $12 Also for anyone that has this insurance, its a great free program Not sure if this will get deleted or not but I just wanted to make people aware of this
  23. Your Fuego is .4 oz light ...
  24. I heard about the problems with the 70s but had no idea the I's were having similar issues. I wonder what causes it ...
