  1. I have a Jackson Big Rig and I stand in it all day. I just step on to it from the dock
  2. I bought 4-5 of the button up shirts at the end of last summer. Maybe they’ll be better than the normal sunshirts https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001TXFNWW/ref=sspa_mw_detail_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9kZXRhaWwp13NParams
  3. I’m not a noob when it comes to baitcasters. I’ve always used big game and would get a backlash once in a while. Last year I got some braid are reading on here a lot. I got a couple Berkeley X types. Practice casting went fine but out on the water was a different story. First cast with a spinnerbait I heard that loud crack. 30lb braid snapped back at the reel. Did a retie with a leader and very next cast same crack snap back at the reel. Why????? side note- I did get my spinnerbaits back. Braid floats and I ran it over with the trolling motor. Wound it up nice and tight around the prop. Spent 30 min on shore getting it unwound
  4. Big vented straw hat for me. Baseball hats make me sweat to much and I can’t use the mesh style hats. I have no hair lol and get little mesh sunburn marks
  5. I had the same problem with the sun shirts. I’m in a kayak so between the shirt and PFD I was so hot I felt dizzy and I might fall over
  6. Save your body. Buy a used jetski trailer
  7. I would look at the wind forecast and launch downwind. Paddle 1-2 miles into the wind with the plan of drifting/fishing back to the launch. I considered that first thing paddle exercise as I would push it pretty hard. Then I bought a motor…..
  8. My crate holds 5 3700 boxes and has 8 rod holders. I also have 3 more 3700 boxes holder my seat
  9. I stand to fish all day. If I’m flipping jigs anything under 2lbs I just lift it in. otherwise I sit to land
  10. I have one of these also. Love this rod
  11. Well that sucks. It’s a bad time to buy anything right now. We’re heading out now to look for a good used suv for my wife. Prices are so inflated
  12. Look for used. Could save you some money
  13. Senko is on the list. The original Creme worm was highlighted in a 1956 Sports Afield magazine to be used for a Wacky Worm. Unfortunately I didn’t read the article until 1980 but I’ve been using them ever since
  14. I’m really liking these columbia pfg tamiami shirts in long and short sleeve. Very lightweight! Only problem is I feel over dressed for going fishing lol. I’ll watch amazon and sometimes they have certain colors for a lot cheaper than others. I’m trying to find more lighter colors than the blue one in my photo https://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Tamiami-Short-Sleeve-Shirt/dp/B0058YRHEA/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=columbia+pfg+shirts+for+men&qid=1628592783&sprefix=colum&sr=8-5
  15. Well that’s true I guess I wasn’t really thinking about the paddle while having a pedal drive. On my Jackson big rig I have a standup bar that has a paddle holder also but now that I have the trolling motor I just keep the pedal in the kayak. My kayak trolling motor doesn’t have a footpedal, I have a handheld remote that hangs around my neck that I can do all the controls with
  16. I’ve never been in a peddle kayak but I’ve noticed the the bicycle style you seem to sit way back into the seat and the Hobie style you sit more upright. It just doesn’t look comfortable to fish with the bicycle style. And how do you control a peddle kayak when you are standing up while fishing? I’m standing 90% of the time
  17. Exactly! i’ve done the Ranger bass boat in tournaments all around western New York. I would spend more money pre-fishing than I could’ve won. I have a big kayak and trolling motor and I need a trailer to haul both kayaks but I’m way below the costs involved in a tow vehicle and boat. I have a total of $4000 invested for everything
  18. Tied a silver minnow on today. Made a couple casts off the dock to try it out. Man I love the way it comes through a weed bed.
