  1. New rod n reel setup. St Croix Victory MHf and Diawa Tatula with Berkely X5 30lb braid. 2 days in a row on the first few casts with a spinnerbait the line snapped with a big bang. 1st time it broke off about a foot past the rod tip and 2nd time right at the reel. What causes this? 2nd time I got my spinnerbait back. Braid floats and I ran it over with trolling motor. 50’ of braid wrapped up on the prop. Had to take the kayak to shore to fix it Thanks for any help you can give me Edit: line is Berkley Big Game Braid 20lb
  2. When out fun fishing I love running into pike. During a tournament not so much
  3. I miss my Uncle Josh #11 pork
  4. My wife swears I had covid in Feb 2020 before the testing started. Latex out on the couch for 5 weeks. Every joint/muscle hurt even my eyes. Didn’t watch tv or look at my phone. I went to hospital when I started having breathing problems. They told me I had bronchitis. I’ve had bronchitis lots of times and it was never like this. Dr put me on a antibiotic and I was good in a couple days.
  5. Is there a technique to keep them from jumping besides a wish an a prayer?
  6. Most of my rods are Mf or MLf except for my flipping stick. I’m trying braid this year but this problem has plagued me for years. I love/hate smallmouths. They always have to jump
  7. No. Down to the side I’m not bowing or pointing the rod at the fish
  8. Single hook lures. Heavy wire, light wire, weighted, unweighted Ok that’s what I try to do. But I do watch tv fishing shows where they say bow to the jumping fish
  9. Most of the time when a bass jumps they throw my lure right at me. My standard procedure when I see them coming up is to get the rod tip down to the water. Am I doing it wrong? Largest fish for today shook the hook
  10. 1/3 of the way. Gives it a more spiral decent
  11. I’m exactly the same except I fish to fast
  12. In NY we’ve had a couple high 70-80 degree days but mainly in the 50’s. Lake water temp is around 53. Is this still pre-spawn? I saw nothing along banks and caught nothing in the 9-15’ depths. Weeds haven’t started growing yet. This is my worst/hardest time to fish
  13. About 30 years. I just sold all my Curado 201’s from the 90’s when they first came out. I just bought 6 new reels and 4 rods since Black Fri
  14. Sam is 100% correct. I lost a very good friend @43 yrs old to skin cancer. I’ve had numerous moles taken off me but have been lucky so far. I have lots of moles so my dermatologist has me on a 6 month plan for checkups. I don’t mind - she’s hot! Wearing long pants, long sleeve shirts, gloves and a wide brim hat is miserable on hot days but it’s worth it in the long run.
  15. Same here. I dump it in the lake and rinse good after every use. If I tried to pee over the side of my big rig I’d be taking a swim. But if that happened I could just pee while I’m in the water

What’s the heat shrink tube trick?
  17. I did the same with my net that’s like yours. I trying to find a pure rubber net to replace the rubber coated stock net that I keep getting treble hooks stuck in
  18. As far as the light bars and blinding high beams. Just start flashing your high beams and then steer into them just a little lol
  19. I keep a tennis racket in the backyard for them
  20. I know they make a lot of round holes in my shed
  21. Carpenter Bees make honey?
  22. You know I use to think who cares how fast it is. I’m only doing short pitches. As my hands get older I want that jig back in with less effort. I went from a 5-1 to a 7.3-1 and enjoy it
  23. On my old bassboat I always the tall leaning seat up front and standard seat in back. That is until I looked back and there was my partner in a 2 man tournament sound asleep. The next week I had 2 tall leaning seats and he was ticked
  24. Standing almost 100% of the time and I’m in a kayak and over 60
