  1. Wow and here I thought my question might get 2-3 answers
  2. I paced of 50 yards from my garage all the way out to the edge of my front yard. Could I cast that far sure! But I’d hate to try to get a good hookset that far out I went with measuring yards because that’s what comes on the spool for the braid that I bought and has 160 yards. I was thinking I could get three spools out of it but I think I’ll end up getting two
  3. So what do you think is your max average length of your casts with baitcasting bass tackle? 25, 50, 75 yards? More? Same for spinning? reason for asking is I’m in the process of spooling up braid for my first time. For my budget braid is expensive. I figured if I load up the spool with some old 12lb mono, pull off necessary length by walking it off in the yard, cut it off, tie on braid and spool up.
  4. We have lots of big pike that just love to tear up spinnerbaits while looking for bass. $1 for a spinnerbait works
  5. Thank you and sorry about your losses. This is why I’m back to fishing. It’s one of the few things in my life that gives me peace. Even now when my son isn’t with me fishing by my side
  6. 3/8 to 1/2oz is what I throw. I’m also looking at the Bass X 7’1” MH F
  7. I’m looking at the Mojo 7’ MH ModFast for spinnerbaits. I’m just not sure of the action. Never had a modfast before
  8. Koz where is this hotel? Looks like a nice area to visit
  9. This is Tammy my best friend and sister from other parents. Lost her 7 months ago to C my life will never be the same but I’m trying
  10. This is my Dad. He would have been 96 today. He died 10 years ago. This was the summer before and last time we fished together. I caught 10+ bass. He caught 1. The biggest 1. He always managed to do that. This is my son. I lost him almost 3 years ago to drugs. He was 31
  11. I’m on the fence but after reading your post I’m leaning more to your side of the fence but it’s not available to me yet
  12. Unfortunately I can’t give you a lot of help. Trolling motor and battery were installed last end of Sept. I might have used it 4-5 times for a few hours each time. I went with Amped Outdoors because they come highly recommended on all the kayak pages. I also have one of their 12ah lithium for my depth finder. I goes for 3 trips (12-15 hrs total) before needing a charge. I did have a 12ah battery go bad, but he shipped a new one out right away. Their customer service is great
  13. I’m using a amped outdoors 60ah lithium for my 45lb MG. They are always sold out. As fast as they get them they sell out. check Nucanoe they had the 36”
  14. I got the 48” 45lb MG three weeks before the kayak version came out. No big deal I just cut the shaft down to 36”. Get the motor you want and cut it to 36”
  15. I’m in NY and bought my used kayak a couple years ago. Last fall I put a trolling motor on it. Filled out the paperwork, sent it in and they called looking for photos of the hull I’d #. Did that then they wanted a Bill of sale or manufactures certificate of origin. I called the dealer and they emailed it right over. Easy enough to do
  16. Had a swan jump in my boat and come after my son. Had a seagull go right between the two consoles while doing 60
