  2. 1- inline spinner 2- small jig grub 3- small spoon
  3. Thats the spot. I need to make casts as long as possible, The big ones are down there. there is a creek and I am trying to cast in that creek. I am almost sure they going up and down the creek.
  4. Ill have that as well, But I am fishing from the bank and it make it little hard when I retrieving and need to deal with grass.
  5. I have all the swivels, Very heavy duty, I am using them for shark fishing, But they will get longer and longer when going higher LB test. I have some crane swivel that I like them a lot and they are compact 450lb, I might change to that. Fishermans bed top: 600lb middle: 350lb(the one using right now) bottom: 425lb
  6. if I go larger, it will be long and hook will tangle with line in casting, Or get the back hook will retrieving. I am looking for stronger swivel but short. going for stripers on Thursday, so I have time to find something(hopefully). I had this line trough skirt, I add one snap and split ring to prevent from going down and I add it. I think it will be ok for now. But I need to get fly tie tools and start get into that so I can make anything I like.
  7. Guys I am changing hooks of my big striper lures to be ready, In stick shad I ass swivel to first hook which is always recommended. In the back side I removed the back treble hook and I add a double hook, Now I need amazon link to buy feather to add to the back double hook. I need something like this just feather and no hook:
  8. How about SLX crankbait rod? I think they are perfect.
  9. I was spooling a 309 for pier fishing(freshwater and saltwater), With soft steel braid and I remember I didn't share that it giving a lots of color to everywhere when you spooling, I bought this braid in 30lb and 80lb for my catfishing and saltwater conventional reels because it is very cheap. About the braid I need to say it is very good quality and have no problem of using it in last three years, Just the color in your hand and your furniture while spooling is pain in the neck. I have the marks on my comforter from last year
  10. Hello and welcome to Bassresource.
  11. I am using Conquest 702C with Antares DC 21(yes it is overkill but it can handle it well). I spool that with Tatsu 10lb and it cast very nice and the rod hold the fish in best way possible.
  12. I have one for few years now, Actually it is my only spinning reel, I paired that with Conquest 702 SJR. The reel is working like first day, I am not using it that much except in winter I use that set up more often. But I am 100% sure about it because I never had a single problem with it beside that in my idea it is best looking spinning reel in market about the design and color. Best choice and I always recommend it to people.
  13. I remember my first cast, It was 3 yards ?. But I did it again and again while loosing the break, I jump to 1/16oz and when I cast 1000 times I tried 1/8oz and I cast that like a pro. I have conquest BFS and spool that with Varivas avani braid.
  14. Thats a great combo, anyone get it is very lucky to have it.
  15. Cast it as far as possible(use lightest weight possible), Than use the rod and pul the weight and use reel to get the slack line. I am not shaking or twitching at all, because your soft plastic there is moving a lot. Do it slow and you'll catch the biggest fishes of your life on that 6 to 8lb invizX and #4 daiichi mosquito hook(I use red hooks). Good Luck
  16. Mine 7'6" spinning and I have 8' Casting(Also I have 5'6" casting as well and 7" spinning). So two of mine over 7" and two shorter. It is all about the location you using them. If you cast in open area I would decently use longer than 7" but if you have trees and so many things around you, I would go shorter.
  17. I found it $150 on eBay, But I dont know how much my friend bought it for me. Anyways I like it because it is different, You can adjust the weight and also it is really flat.
  18. Tom said same thing about the mother chaser when I bought it haha...
  19. I dont remember how much, I didn't say it is $300? ?
  20. I dont think I ever going to use it, But the mother is on when I am on boat with friends or alone.
  21. I have one negotiator same color of that two and I am using it, Also I have one mother (two piece version) also I am using, But this ones for back up only and they are on display.
  22. I found this jig best jig exist.
