  1. I believe that this is true but in my estimation I would think it occurs more often in clear water or high pressure bodies of water. Green pumpkin or purple plastics and white and chartreuse spinnerbaits have worked in my local body of water for 20 years for me.
  2. Ha...been there my friend
  3. I agree with this. I think its a common misconception that firetiger is primarily a bluegill pattern..I feel its a much brighter more vibrant color than any bluegill instead representing yellow perch.
  4. So a while back I did colors that surprised you and had a bunch of good responses. Well lets go in a different direction...colors that didn't live up to the hype or at least what you built up in your mind. For me the choice is easy...red lipless crankbaits. I heard for years that red craw lipless are fire in the spring..I've caught fish on them but not like I thought or hoped. I'm not saying they don't work they just haven't done much for me. Now ill throw a gold black lipless in the same areas and smoke em. What about you?
  5. Ha was just gonna say Blaukat would say it doesn't count because its cheating. You can keep the pic just put an asterisk next to it.
  6. So I've seen these on tackle warehouse a million times but never payed them much mind. 5pk is only $1.48 so not much risk in getting some. What intrigues me is these are the old school craw style similar to the Guido bug, the big zoom critter Craw, the larew salt craw etc. Anybody tried these? How are they?
  7. Junebug, white and green pumpkin are all I need. Sure I have countless others that I like and they work but they aren't must haves for me.
  8. My setup is almost identical to @T-Billy...only difference is I use a yum vibra king tube mostly.
  9. That's my style buddy. I'm the guy in under armor sweats when everybody else is rocking khakis.
  10. What is the advantage of no bail? I've seen this mentioned before but never looked into it as to why
  11. Jeez...guess they will let anybody moderate these days..............just messing...congrats dude
  12. Pretty sure a DuPont spinner is a stick.of dynamite
  13. Nope they make a 4in curl tail designed for bass
  14. I have a 7ft medium that I like..it is closer to a medium heavy imo. That's why I think this one would be good for what I need..I expect it to fish like a light medium instead of what I think of as medium light.
  15. TW has em on sale for $60 ...I'm looking at this model for jerkbaits and poppers. Anybody have experience with this particular rod?
  16. I also am in the camp of cast with my right hand, switch to my left and reel right camp. Kinda funny I saw a video of Skeet Reese one time freaking out saying that people who do that are wrong. Funny because I saw KVD doing that very thing..know what else he was doing? Dominating Skeet Reese for like 15 years in bassmasters... Imagine how well he would do if he knew the "right" way to cast.
  17. When my buddies aren't catching fish but I am so I offer them a bait, they decline then at the end of the day they ***** about not getting bit.
  18. So I'm cruising on tackle warehouse like I'm want to do these days and I remember these. Then it dawns on me one of my best producing baits ever is a 4in curl tail worm I used to get at wal mart yet I've never tried these. What's my problem?
  19. My thoughts as well. I've seen people bash eagle claw hooks for a long time. I tried some of the wide gaps with the keeper style deal on them for flipping tubes and have been very happy.
  20. Not wanting other people to experience this thing you love so much seems very selfish and self serving. While I get the sentiment from a pressure perspective to me its just not morally right. Also pressure was that detrimental to fisheries people wouldn't pull 30+ lb bags out of guntersville, clear lake and chickamauga but it happens all the time. Why deprive others of that? Wanna take the pressure out of the equation? Get better at bass fishing.
  21. A size 12 or 14 tungsten ice jig with 2-3 maggots.
  22. Well some people aren't secure in their manhood! I also never feel.weird using spinning gear..just didn't do it much in the past.
