Fishing with Dad
Let me send you a NY hat so you can get rid of that one with the "B" on it. ;D

Best joke of the year. You gotta love it for the simplistic beauty of it all.

Fishing with Dad
Awesome story man!! Reminds me of when I get to fish with my dad. That's a great fish in my book any day! Iowa representing...

Steering Torque Tab
Thanks guys!! I will give it a shot. Cart, I'm not ready to do doughnuts at 6:00 am in the morning. Maybe after a couple cups of coffee. LOL!! ;D Maybe I should try it and see how good a boat it is. I can see it now, me and the dog flying out of the boat.

Baitcast Reels and their Lower Weight Range Limits
You got D.R. to do it? No, I did it myself. The first one was a little slow but I was afraid of messing up so I took my time. Nothing to it now. D.R. should get the credit for the great idea though. I followed his diagram and his parts list. He's a good guy for sure.

Castaway skeleton...
Get one if that is what you want. We all use different rods and reels to suit our tastes. Let us know how it fishes in a short review. You might be able to start a Castaway Posse. lol

My First 2 Baits
I think they both would work. Be careful throwing that bluegill swimbait, you might get your arm broke.

Maryland Junior FLW Championship report with pic
Good job Ben, glad to see you doing so well.

New Lucky Combo
Pretty sweet setup Carl. Can't beat three for three. I have the Tiera and love it. Been thinking real hard about the Cumara too.

Which of these two would you suggest
Mega Bait Charlie re-paints. They're good for about one musky around here. Kind of like the senko of the swimbait world.

What is your Age?
I am 252 years old, in dog years.

Flipping jigs in heavy cover when its cloudy? Pointless?
I'm with Ronnie, anytime is a good time for flipping a jig into heavy cover. I am kind of biased, heavy cover is all I fish.

Slomoe-Let's talk "Street Skate"
Thanks guys, you have taken me back about twenty years to my youth when I did not have a care in the world except for fishing and skating. Ahhh...the good ol' days.

It's on!
Guess who's cooking when you come up this way. You made me hungry again. Hope it tastes as good as it looks.

Baitcast Reels and their Lower Weight Range Limits
I can throw a 2 gram Imakatsu Rock Vader jig pretty easily with my modded Daiwa Liberto Pixy. (Pixilla) That translates to about 1/16 oz. That is about as light as I have tried to throw. I don't think I own anything lighter for bass.

Steering Torque Tab
I installed a new stainless prop on my 90 hp Merc a couple years ago and noticed I get some steering torque to the right at top end. I want to fix this. It is even worse on sharp turns on the lake to the point if I let go of the wheel, the boat would do a 360. What way do I need to adjust the steering tab on the cavitation plate to compinsate so much torque? ( If I am standing at the back of the motor.) It wants to go right on top end if that helps. Thanks! Blaine

The Evo Jig
Don't feel bad dude, I was thinking the same thing as I was reading along. I did laugh at your response though. ;D BTW Bobby, do the newer versions come with stiffer weedguards. I like the jig and love the over-sized hook that comes on it, but It seems to get snagged alot in the gnarly stuff I fish. I heard or read somewhere that the newer versions have stiffer weedguards. Is this true? Thanks!! Blaine

Two Mook Trip
Great pictures Zel. Muddy if your reading this, we're gonna miss you buddy. :-/

Nothing Huge but.....
Those are some fine fish IMO. Always good to get confidence in a new type of bait. Those Cali fish always have the best colors on them.

A few pics
Great looking catches Daniel! I bet that pike was real fun. Your friend has a very nice setup he is holding. Megabass rod with an Ito reel. Nice!!!

Yozuri Ultra Soft 15lb Line color
Yes, the 6 lb. I use on my spinng reels is the same milky white color compared to regular Hybrid. I noticed that too. Way better line though for spinning gear IMO.

Breaking braid lately
Same thing happened to me last year. I was using 20 pound Sufix braid and snapping it like crazy on hooksets. I was puzzled just like you for a while. It even was happening with Power Pro too. I figured out that my hookset was a little to hard for the 20 lb. The instant shock I was putting on a zero stretch line was too much for it to handle. I switched to 50 lb. on my heavy flipping setup and it never happened again.

Jet fleas
I nearly killed a guy and girl last year when he pulled out in front of me and I was going full bore. I finally caught up with him. He won't be pulling out in front of anyone else, we'll just say that.

Trashy water
Stonewall came up so fast when they started holding back water. It has been the same way. Giant tree sized logs floating around everywhere. Had a 19 year old drown there last week. The boat hit a log at night and capsized. No PFD... :-/ EDIT: I found out yesterday it was not a log that caused the boy to drown. They had four very large people in a 12' jon boat crossing the lake at night. Alcohol was involved and you can imagine the rest of the story...

New Lures
Great looking baits. That perch color with the props would get killed on the lake I fish.
