  1. Congrats again on the toad Matt. I have been throwing a Mission Fish until my arms feel like they're going to fall off. Fingers crossed!! Pretty cool gesture there Brent.
  2. I fish cranks in heavy wood cover quite a bit. Like Raul said, throw them where the fish are. I, like you, have lost many cranks to woody brush. After a while you will develop a "feel" for woody crankin'. When the line starts to tighten up a bit, I slow my retrieve down and can feel the crank deflecting off the brush and timber. As the line becomes slack, I start cranking normal once again. I just bought a good lure retriever, I haven't lost a crank since. I highly recommend one.
  3. I thought the same thing. I remember it was going to end on April 15th but it was changed to May 15th due to the northern brethern and ice out conditions to give them a chance also.
  4. Great interview once again Glenn. John obviously has a different way of looking at co-anglers. I think maybe he should have bitten his tongue a little before he answered that question. I don't tournament fish so this may be a common feeling among higher level anglers, it just came across the wrong way to me. I would say it makes a dream come true for a lot of those co-anglers to fish with a pro. I hope they all don't feel this way.
  5. I'm digging the pic. ;D

Alright guys, no other guesses I will give it up. It is a WEC Wobbler in chocolate shad color. Getting harder to find too. Back to Japan for this topwater bait from my collection.
  11. You got it!! Take care of your reels people, they will last your lifetime if you do.
  12. Steez for me but I got to mention the Pixy, Alphas, and TD-Z as well. The Pixy is just pure fun to fish light shallow cranks on. Steez = 5.5 oz. Pixy = 5.6 - 5.7 oz. (depending on model) Alphas = 5.9 - 6.2 oz. (depending on model) TD-Z = 6.2 - 6.4 oz. (depending on model)

Do a Ebay search on completed listings for zoom crankbait. Someone got a great deal on one for around $18.

Now think one size smaller. Here's a hint, this one is a little harder to find and usually brings a premium on Ebay between $30-$40. This model shown was made in 2005 and will not be found as easy as the rest. The Natural said he wouldn't sell his for $100 if someone offered it to him.

It is a WEC, not the E1. You're close!! The name is actually on the bait itself if you look hard enough.
  17. ***.com has both of these attractants $7.59 a tube! So does this guy, for a little more but it supports the site. http://www.megastrike.com/

  20. I voted for the Sol. Technically I don't own the Sol, but I have five of their JDM twins, the Alphas. I am a Daiwa guy though, so my answer is a little bias.
  21. It is currently my favorite jig trailer. I use them a lot on an Eakins jig. I have several bags of every color made. Since I have started using them, the fish are very reluctant to let go of the jig. A big thumbs up from me.
  22. You couldn't get this stuff out of AJ's hands this past weekend. I haven't used any yet but I will do some testing soon over a period of a few days on my favorite jig. I'll rig up two rods and fish them both, one with Mega Strike and the other without. The results should be interesting.
  23. I have been taking him on the boat since he was 8 weeks old. He turns 3 on Wednesday. He is fine most of the time until an otter, beaver, or some type of water fowl gets close. Then he turns into a normal dog. ;D If your dog has never been on a boat before expect some excitement, especially since he's a lab. They have been fish catching machines since I bought them. They have a unique wobble and a very loud rattle for such a small crank. This may interest you. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1207703774
  24. ;D Dude, I live vicariously from the fish you catch, and vice versa! Rock on and I love the white background ;D Make that a BIG X2 8-)
  25. Yeah, no kidding man. Don't sweat it, besides you will be gunning for this guy next time. Congrats on the good finish.
