BIG CHUB!! Those Evergreen Icecream Bill Shads are sweet. You can find a few on Ebay from time to time. Looks like it's starting to get a little warmer there.
  2. Yep, here is another pic of one at my favorite lake.
  3. Wicked race!! Those Bugatti cars are in a league all their own.
  4. Dude, you got Jenna aka "HeartBreaker" standing next to you. Those of you that are Jenna fans will understand the HeartBreaker part. No need in explaining. ;D Something tells me it would be real fun to go out with you one night. The kid's name is Frankie Muniz I think. "Malcolm in the Middle"
  5. I just placed an order for a bunch of them. I love those craw cranks.
  6. I look at it this way dude, if you're obeying the laws and not exceeding daily creel limits, you have every right to do as you please just as I have the right to release them. Some people take it to heart a little more than others. That's why I mainly fish C&R lakes so I don't have to see it happen. BTW, is the site speeding up for you now? :
  7. These work real good. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_73302_100011005_100000000_100011000_100-11-5
  8. She might be alright then. BTW, invest in a digital scale. It will shock you to find out what some fish weigh. I know it did me. All those 5 and 6 pound bass I was catching turned out to be 3 and 4 pound bass.
  9. Looks to be about a 4.5 pounds to me. How well did she swim off after having one of her gills ripped out? I'm guessing not very well... :-/
  10. 'Bout time you get your butt back on here. ;D Nice to see you posting and catching again.

That perch musky crank would get killed in the lake I fish. Looks good!!
  12. I think the Calais has 11 bearings total. You counted 6 but did you count the 4 in the handle? 10 bearings and 1 roller bearing.
  13. Braid is often the best choice in very heavy cover. When you get hung up and get the lure free, point the rod tip at the hang up, and reel up the slack line. Hold the line or the spool to prevent the drag from slipping. Then crouch down with the rod held above you and start backing away. Either the line will break, or your jig will pop free, and if it flies out of the water it will not hit you because you are crouched down. Just a suggestion, by doing this with heavy braid you run the risk of bending your spool or warping it. I have seen it happen. Carry a small piece of a cutoff broom stick in the boat with you. Wrap the braid around the stick a couple times and pull until your heart's content. No nasty cuts this way.
  14. I have done this to just about all my baitcasters now. The only ones that I haven't installed them in are my Viento and my Advantage 150H. You will notice a slight performance gain in casting and pitching. I like to tinker with reels so it was a no-brainer with me on the decision to upgrade. I used ZPI SiC bearings in most of mine.
  15. Nice fish man! PB's are always great to read about. You keep hanging out in places like that and we'll be reading about a new PB again real soon. Good day for sure.
  16. You guys are making me even more excited every time someone posts on this thread. I am ready to go now! Gonna be real hard on a fella waiting this coming week. It will seem like an eternity. ;D
  17. Ol' bugeyes. Nice fish there!! Hope to be on a few like that soon myself.
  18. Now that's some hard fishing when you break the hub. Cool that they stand by their products too.
  19. Funny but very true. ;D
  20. Sounds like what's gonna happen to me tomorrow. Almost word for word... ;D Feels good to get the stink of winter off.
  21. I leave a week from today at 6 am. I picked up the boat yesterday from the marina. I got my new impeller installed, had the trailer bearings packed, got the lower unit oil changed, and a scheduled maintanence tuneup. I am locked and loaded. I am putting line on all my reels right now. It's hard to believe the only thing I have left to do is buy my fishing license online and pack my clothes. I have been waiting for this trip since last April.
  22. I use size 2 and 3 mostly. I do use them on a lot of my cranks and seems to give some of them more action. I love using them on jerkbaits too. I use them not to shortcut retying all the time, but just to give some cranks more action. I still retie often even when using them. Never had issues with them.
  23. Heck yeah man, now that's gettin' after them in 39 degree water. The hair is getting a little long Russ. ;D

Think about what you are saying here. Ebay's computers can somehow respond to a sniper's bid, which must be sent across the internet, faster than it can recognize a max bid number that is already stored on it's server. That just doesn't compute. The service rep doesn't have a clue. Ronnie This is what I was saying all along. I just didn't want to get in a ticking match over something so trivial. I had to be a glitch in Ebay's software. No other explanation.
