  1. O’s take three of four from the Rays and open a 2-game lead in the AL East. Best record in the American League and 2nd in all MLB. To be brutally honest, I truly never thought they would catch up to Tampa at all. At least not until maybe September. Before the end of July after the Rays started 13-0? That’s an accomplishment!
  2. Lighting it seals the deal!
  3. It used to be free shipping regardless of the amount. That changed a long time ago.
  4. @Thefishingnoobie1987 A weightless 5” Senko or Zoom Trick TR would fit the bill there. Heck, almost any weightless soft plastic.
  5. I remember when they had free shipping lol.
  6. I dunno. But man, they can sure tell when my lure is dead!
  7. What rod? I mean, really? You give 50%, well, make that 33% info! What line? ?
  8. This only goes to show what happens when you neglect your farm system. Decades ago the Orioles farm clubs were second to none. And they were perennial contenders. Stocking good talent fell by the wayside until Elias came to town, after doing the same with the Astros. Now they have young stars and prospects galore. And it’s bearing fruit. I only wish Joe Angel was there to call the games. He deserved all those “and we’ll be back with the lovely totals” he’s missing this season.
  9. HBD, Tom. If a bit belatedly. Like to say I was fishing, but…?
  10. Orioles sweep Mariners and one game out of first place in the AL East. Rays lose to Royals.
  11. A 1/2 day in my inflatable boat, in these temps, and I’m kaput.
  12. My birthday is in September. I looked at Kistler’s website today and saw their Hunt BFS rods are available to pre-order and will be available in September. Hmm-m-m…
  13. Hair today, gone tomorrow! ?
  14. @thediscochefI did not fish it as a TR. Or a WR. I had a rig set up for a WR and simply nose hooked it. It hit the water and that bass took it and was off in a flash. Same hit on the Rage Bug as well. More risky as far as snags than a TR but I’ve done this before and it seems to work at times that a TR or WR doesn’t. @TnRiver46 It wasn’t bad early, but after the sun came out at 1100 the temp climbed rapidly to 94°. On its way to 100°. I’m surprised the water felt as cool as it did.
  15. Man, even though this morning was overcast and cooler than the past week, it still hit 91° as I was getting out of the water at 10:00. Slow bite. Nothing on anything but soft plastics. First one on a Zoom Z-Craw worm in California 420, the second on a Rage Bug in green pumpkin (missed one, too) and a dink on a blue/black laminate Senko WR.
  16. @Tackleholic I haven’t had any issues passing through guides with the Lefty Kreh. This is 20 lb. Sufix 832 and a 8 lb. YZH leader. It’s not that bulky. In all the years I be used it, I’ve only had one knot failure, and that was on me (should have cut it and started over but failed to listen to reason lol).
  17. Know ‘em. Watched ‘em. Didn’t recognize ‘em! ?
  18. @LionHeart I have a Falcon Lowrider All ‘Round Fast MH/F. It’s a great T rig rod.
  19. Not in the ponds I fish. Three words: Brain. Eating. Amoeba
  20. “Alexa! Cast the Whopper Plopper exactly 72.6’ at 31.5947°N, 93.8045°W within 1.5’ of the sunken stump” ”Sorry, I didn’t get that. Would you like to ask stopper chopper if he has 72.6 feet?” ?????
  21. Going by memory (no Google) 1- Scottie McGregor 2- ? 3- Mike Flanagan 4- that leg kick? Who else but Jim Palmer? 5- The Moose 6- ? 7- Gregg Olsen 2 is tough. My guess is Steve Stone? 6 has me stumped
  22. “Didja catch any bass yesterday?” ”Nah. I was too busy trying to see if I could beat my best cast by 0.5’ and dropped my phone in the lake” ”Ouch! Your phone? That’s terrible!” ”I know! I lost all my excellent casting statistics and data! Now how can I catch bass now?” ”Umm-m-m…I thought you didn’t catch any?” ?
  23. I do that often. I may cast and reel back on a straight retrieve 2-3 times, then cast it out and twitch it like a popper. It can and will catch bass either way.
