That guys feet dangling in the water that close makes me nauseous.

I grew up next door to an older couple that took my brother and me in as grandkids essentially. We had a rough home life with an abusive step dad and a mostly checked out mom. We never spoke about this stuff to them until years later, but they must have known. They were both retired, but managed the upkeep of a fairly large nature preserve. It must have been volunteer work, I assume. Since their passing they've had things out there named after them. One day they took us to the nature preserve to walk the woods and fish the stream with the woman while the man chopped wood. We were probably 10 & 8. As we were walking I kept hearing faint sounds of Native American type chanting/hollering/sounds, and drumming. I finally asked if anyone else was hearing this and they said no, but the woman told me that sometimes she hears it. She went on to tell me there's a Native American burial ground in those woods and that she'd seen indians appear and disappear like ghosts before.

They actually do have me captive. The bass dominate a huge part of my life from my thoughts to my wallet lol

Yeah, I'm not following, either. To each their own. If a rod can cast a spinnerbait, it can fish a spinnerbait. I also don't get the "experiment" approach. In my best SpongeBob SquarePants narrator voice: "$1,500 later..." (for a spinnerbait rod! Lol)

They're amazing and I refuse to fish without them. You can see fish, weeds, rocks, wood etc that you wouldn't otherwise see.

The ponds have unfrozen. It's going to be 60* and sunny. I'm off work. I got off work at 2am. It's almost 7am. I just spent 2 hours prepping a pond bag and a few rods to take with me tomorrow. I'm getting up at 11am. I have until 2pm to fish, and then I have to go do my taxes at 3pm. I'll be fishing a Jack Hammer with a Zako trailer; a 6th Sense Divine Hybrid Jig with a Rage Bug trailer; a Dark Sleeper; and the Ned Rig. I'll adjust to other things if necessary. I'm so excited about having seen the ponds wide open that I don't know if I'll actually be able to sleep. The lakes need some more time. Hopefully I'll get on my first fish of 2021.

Cheap ($40-$80) you can't beat the Abu Garcia Max series. Mid Level ($100-$200) you can't beat the value and performance of Lews dollar for dollar. High End ($230+) you can't beat Daiwa or Shimano. Just flip a coin.

That makes me wonder: what would a person do if their trailer was stolen? That sounds like a headache worse than I'm comprehending.

If your line is on the water with a buzzbait, your buzzbait is sinking already. FC affects topwaters like poppers and walking baits, not baits like buzzbaits and whopper ploppers.

Cast and burn topwaters are unaffected by FCs sinking properties.

Not gonna lie, the Whopper Plopper bite has been going downhill for me for awhile. Do bass become wise/conditioned/trained? A lot of guys say NO, and get aggressively adamant about it. I continuously find in my own fishing experience that they're not dumb bricks and do get wise/trained/conditioned. Oddly though I haven't found them line shy at all.

Here's the problem. Dogs aren't cattle. They're supposed to be part of the family. I, along with most people it seems, don't believe in "outside" dogs; especially in extreme heat or cold, and being in Florida you have the extreme heat part. If you were a better dog owner you wouldn't have this problem.

I've never seen a gator in real life. Pretty sure I have a better chance of running across the abominable snowman up here. One time I was inches away from stepping on a nest of harmless water snakes. I can't explain the terrifying shock that shot through my body.

Fish finders. People who have electronic on their boat to locate fish, did the electronics catch the fish? Do pros catch any of their fish?

Do electronic catch the fish too? Doesn't matter how you found them/got on them. If you cast the bait, work the bait, hook the fish, and land the fish, you caught the fish.

Flipping just sounds like what it's supposed to be called. It has a better ring to it than pitching. It almost seems right because it's more or a flip than a pitch in my opinion. The one that bothers me is confusing power and action. This is inexcusable. You think your mother in law is judgemental? Say medium heavy action in front of me.

As much as I make man jokes about my fiance, she's really reasonable and completely understands the golf clubs analogy due to her brother being a huge golfer around here.
