  1. I just ordered the 7ft H model(The monkey said the Omnia deal is too good to pass up) I figure since I have the 7'3XH, my thought process is to go with something not too similar. Thanks for the input everyone.
  2. I'm torn, these two rods seem identical except one is 2 inches longer. I'm hoping someone gives me some insight that pushes me in one direction over the other, last night I was all about the 7'2 , now I'm thinking the 7 may give me more control. I am going to get one of them, either way I can't imagine I'm going to be at a loss whichever I pick.
  3. I have the 7'3 XH moderate action, I love it, but it's too much rod for a 3/4 or 1oz in my opinion. I use it for 1 oz or 1 1/4 oz jigs with bulky trailers. It's the reason I want to pick up a H action.
  4. I'm thinking about picking up a H action casting Expride B , the rod comes in a 7ft and 7'2ft. The specs on TW seem exactly the same other then length. Is there and advantage to one over the other, I plan on using it for 1 oz jigs in heavier cover. I'm leaning towards the 7ft because I'm in a jonboat and wont need to cast very far. Any input is appreciated.
  5. I would fill the pits with wood glue, sand down the handle to make nice and smooth, then apply U40. Being older shouldn't be an issue.
  6. I picked up 7ft ML Kage Walleye XF, it's light and sensitive. I find the grip to be very comfortable with no issues keeping the reel secure. I use it for neds and neko rigs, I do not find it stiff, I have been very happy with it.
  7. I have the 7'2 ML Expride B spinning, it's pretty stout for the ML rating, I would say it's actually closer to M. For what you described, I would go with the 7'2 ML Expride B.
  8. Sensitivity is the priority, I second NorthernBasser with the Expride B, they are a straight up winner for sure. I would add the Zodias to the list as well, I think they look great and I find them to be plenty sensitive. Honorable mention going to the Daiwa Rebllion spinning rods.
  9. I'm a big fan of x9, on spinning gear I run 10lb, on most casting gear I run 20 or 30lb. I don't see a need to adjust line sizes based on diameter. I have been very happy with it.
  10. I favor translucent colors, regardless of cloud cover.
  11. A Zodias 7'2 MH is on the way, thanks for all the input everyone.
  12. Looking for some input on a particular model, the 7"3 MHF. I have the 7'3 H, I like it for heavy jigs or frogs, but it has a really thick diameter blank(which I don't love)considerably thicker than other heavy casting rods I have handled. I thought they sent me a glass rod by accident when I got it. It is sensitive and I do enjoy using it. I absolutely love my rebellion 7ft ML spinning rod for finesse applications. If anyone owns the 7'3 MHF casting, whats your opinion on the rods sensitivity, what application do you feel it's best at and do you find the blank to be a thicker diameter than other MH casting rods? Im looking to use it as a bottom contact rod for jigs. Thanks in advance.
  13. My guess is Azuma Big Boss, custom color.
  14. Just recieved a 7ft ML spinning rebellion open box at 50% off. The rod is new, I can't find anything indicating any flaws, I was initially worried about the open box, but from my experience this open box stuff is a good deal.
  15. Happy Birthday!
  16. Midway is a winner, buy with confidence.
  17. Just ordered a 7ft Rebellion ML spinning, I have one already which I love, at $98 the monkey definitely needed a second one. Midway had quite a few items discounted, I picked up a few SPRO outsiders 50% off as well. Thanks for the heads up.
  18. Bait WRX 25% off site wide (some exclusions apply)
  19. I called Daiwa, the rep said they believe all the dividers are removable, but he didn't seem so confident with that answer. I called Omnia and they said they believe some of the dividers are not removable. I'll order one when they become available, if they are not removable I will either have another box or maybe I will try to return it. Thanks again.
  20. Wasn't aware buzbe had a deep 3600, but it is expensive. Thanks. If all the dividers are removable, this is what I'm looking for, I am going contact Daiwa to ask. Thanks.
  21. I like to use 3600 size boxes for my storage needs, I have been having a heck of time finding open compartment Deep 3600 sizes, it seems like no one manufactures one. I currently use the Gamakatsu G box G3600 for my open compartment needs and really like them, but I cant find anyone that makes those same height and width specs but deeper, I am looking for around 2.5 -3.5 inches in depth but still keeping the 3600 length and width. If anyone knows if these exsist please post here.
  22. That rod is outstanding for 1/2oz or less blade baits on the bottom as well.
  23. Sounds like the way to go , thanks.
