Pitching - Please Help
I've found the most common mistake people make when learning to pitch is not comprehending the your free hand has no action besides holding the bait until you pull it from the free hand with your wrist action onyour rod hand, I've seen so many people kind of flippin' their wrists and tossing the bait from their free hand simultaneously, yea... avoid doing that, it won't work. In fact a lot of the times i end up pitching without using my free hand at all. Learn your reel, most importantly. Learning is alwasy easier on QUALITY equipment.

Skipping?
My advice is of course practice, but also don't waste your time with crap equipment. The more you spend the easier it will be, if you fish a lot you mind as well spend the money if you haven't already. Learn to thumb the reel very very well and just keep practicing, it's just a backlash, not like you can break it. the easiest lure i find to skip is a tube with the weight inside, not texas rigged, although not to rule that out entirely, fish an insider tube and trie it.

and now... "Deeeeep thoughts" by Trevor It really bothers me when people say texas rig and they're not using a bullet weight on the front, then it's just a weedless rig, otherwise if you were wedless rigging a senko or straight worm or fluke etc. on a carolina rig, you'd then be carolina rigging and texas rigging at the same time. :-/

Noob question :)
I'd say it's best to work a lure in a few different spots at differnt times of the day in different depths and water clarity before ruling it out for the day, you'll develop a very annoying and bad habit if you just toss a lure 10 times and then switch over and over because you didn't get a hit. Many of us are guilty of that and on the other side we're also guilty of not changing when we probably should. It's very important to develop a rythm with a lure once you get that and your presentation is on point you'll develop the confidence you need. Best thing i'd say is go with your instincts and ask around the body of water other people are fishing. IMO you can never go wrong with a green pumpkin or watermelon colored lure. The do have snaps and they're best for cranking lures not wire lures or single hooks for soft plastics, if you're gonna change your softplastic hooks, spinner baits/buzzbaits or any topwater bait IMO then stay away from snaps. I actually never use snaps ever since I started tying a palomar knot, it's so quick and easy. Hope that helps a little. To avoid getting to carried away changing lures for starters keep a senko, spinnerbait, 2-4ft crankbait, and a buzzbait handy and go with you instincts, pay attention to your surroundings and fish action, if they're fiesty throw the spinnerbait and crankbait, if they're smacked up top wake that spinnerbait or crankbait or throw the buzzbait, if it's slow or really hot or really cold throw your senko, for starters... these lures are VERY versatile and work in MANY conditions... I'm not saying these are the only times to use those lures or ways to. P.S. fire tiger, chartreuse, watermelon, green pumpkin is a great color to keep on you at all times. oh almost forgot, a black and blue jig is always good to have

Frog Reccomendations
the horny toad is really designed to cast out and reel back as the legs do paddle action and create a rutcuss like a buzzbait, the spro frog is more or a twitch bait on the surface, it's great in open water near edges and banks as well as THICK scum, from duckweed to stumps to lillys and grass, it works best if you cut one of the streamers at least an inch shorter than the other, you really need a nice topwater rod to get perfect action with it, but it's one of those when you throw it you don't want to stop once you find the rhythm and if you're going to try the horny toad try the rage tail as well, same thing just more paddle, trial by fire and comparison is how you find your niche check out the video next to the product picture http://www.***.com/descpageSFTSTRIKE-SKRT.html#

much needed advice
for starters, any structure... with senkos, waky rigged or regular (i call it regular because i believe texas rigged involves a bullet weight, and you don't want that for a senko)

Frog Reccomendations
i forgot about swamp donkey's and snag proof bobby's they're awesome too imo, i'd suggest either of those or the spro, i still prefer spro over all of 'em here's a ton of chioces http://www.***.com/catpage-frogs.html

Frog Reccomendations
i caught this guy in my avatar on this (rainforest yellow model)http://www.***.com/descpageSPROBAITS-SPBF.html# i swear by 'em, shortly after (literally 10 minutes) i caught another big guy a pound smaller than that one, they're awesome on lilly pads and in grass, or duck weed, anything! here's a tip cut one of the streamers and inch shorter than the other and it does an awesome 'walk the dog' action, even in the scum keep cutting until it walks as much as you want

Success on Saturday evening
Hey, fellas, I wasn't saying anything was wrong with it at all, I was just replying to what we were talking about after he explained what it is exactly, I simply just said I'm not into it, not my thing, because I personally don' find it challenging for bass fishing for ME, I wasn't saying anything bad about the lure or anyone that uses it, to each his own, I'll throw a baby panther martin all day long for trout, beats powerbait and corn... Mepps, it's a quote from one of my favorite movies, don't take it personal man
-
Success on Saturday evening
I'm just not into it :-/, i feel like anyone can catch fish that way, I feel more successfull when I know my presentation was on point, like with a fluke or a tube, jmho, not trying to take anything away from anyone.

Success on Saturday evening

VENTING!!
i never doubted you knowing where to fish or not or how long you've been fishing, thanks for sharing that though. I was just simply saying if you're bothered by it there are ways to get away from it, i agree you shouldn't HAVE to and i never said that, i was simply just proposing a possible solution to the inevitble problem he was presented with his last experience, and simply said fishing in the middle of the lake won't get you away from all the traffic if that's what you want, but fishing in the back of some of the protected coves will. That's all, I wasn't questioning anyones ability or knowledge. That's absurd, so get off of that kick right about... now. oh and i wasn't insuating you were talking about me and my waverunners outdoorsman and i wasn't defending any operators of them, after re-reading i can see that it came across that way, sorry, i know for a fact there are more idiots than not on those things
-
VENTING!!
try in the way back of the coves of the islands
-
VENTING!!
I meant to get away from the hot sun not the boats, and by cover I meant tall trees creating shade and timber, which there is a lot of in the way back of certain coves, and there is a lot of grassy shorlines there. I've gotten good fish in the way back of certain coves you have to pull the outboard up on, just to get in there... i didn't say all the fish i just said fish and was explaining how to get away from the traffic and still find good fish, you sir are fooling yourself if you think you can't find fish away from the middle and all the traffic.
