  1. I would also say the alt. Put a volt meter to it on dc and see what kind of voltage you are getting. Im betting about 9v possibly 10v. This is enough voltage to cause a spark, but not enough to satisfy consumption. What happens is the alt dies, then the truck will run off battery until battery dies. Just guessing here, but did the guages all go dead shortly before the truck stopped? Some things to check, alt belt tension, alt wire connections, starter connections, and battery voltage. Also if you can get the truck to start, the voltage reading at the battery should be around 14v with the alternator charging. Good luck, and the upside is the alt isnt that hard nor expensive to replace if you need to! Mike
  2. The lake I fish here is infested with them toothy critters!! Hardly a week goes by that you wont tangle with atleast one. some get away, some dont

Beats the stuffin out of me, but they sure do taste good.
  4. Man I dunno about that. IMO it dosent look to ergonomic, and takes up quite a bit of deck space. I have a Minn Kota with power drive, and sometime ago put the Minn Kota Co-Pilot remote on it. It is probably the best thing I could have done. No deck pedal at all, just a little bitty remote.
  5. IMO prisoner troops probably isnt the best thing. Generally these types of people are non-conformists. They have already proven their regard for society, or lack there of. In a combat situation, trusting the other men is paramount, counting on them to stand and fight, to cover you and to be reliable. I just dont see that happening with these people who have already shown that they will put themselves above society. In talking to my Dad, a vietnam vet, I guess this has been tried before, with little success. They had a name for them, which I wont repeat exactly but it ammounts to "poop bird". They were highly unreliable, and in some cases dangerous. In combat, if you are counting on someone and they let you down, it can mean your life! Perhaps in supporting roles, cooks, motor transport, something of that nature. However, I still dont think I would like to see that happen. Military people who are good citizens, serving their country, should not have the enigma of possibly being "a convict soldier". This is of course just one persons opinion, speaking of these types of people in general, and certainly not all of them. Some would undoubtedly perform well. But them again, if you take 1000 monkeys, one will no doubt know how to ride a bike as well......

  19. HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. -- A theater chain is apologizing to parents and children who were shocked by a movie mix-up on Long Island. National Amusements said it's working with theater managers to make sure nothing similar happens again. The moviegoers were expecting to see the PG rated movie "The Last Mimzy" at the Island 16 multiplex in Holtsville on Thursday. Instead, they saw the opening scene of the R-rated film "The Hills Have Eyes 2." It shows a chained, naked woman giving birth what appears to be a mutant creature. Some 50 people -- including parents with young children -- began screaming and ran out. The staff stopped the movie, gave free ticket vouchers to patrons who were upset, and started "The Last Mimzy" about a half-hour late. several years ago while in a video store...in a hurry...I grabbed a little cartoon for the kids called "southpark"...I had no clue it was adult. Well when i got home I chucked it in theold vcr and set the kids to watch it...within like 30 seconds I was bolting into the living room fumbling to get it shut off LOL

  22. well in the case of the ugly stick....it cant....Ive tried several. they are heavier, and have no back at all. I usually refer folks to the berkley lightening rod as an alternative to the mushy stick!
  23. Severl years ago I bought a Minn Kota, power drive model with auto pilot. I thought it could never get any better.....until....the Minn Kota Co-Pilot. That little remote and no pedal on the deck is the ONLY way to go IMO. I would never go back to any form of pedal, and after having fished a hand control for years would rather drop a bowlingball on my tongue than go back!! Emphatic...hell yeah....co-pilot is that GOOD!!
  24. sucks to be that low on the food chain dont it? Burley at our lake the muskies dont exist, but the gators are in full force!!!!
  25. I use shoe goop, dosent spill like crazy glue, and a tube goes a long long way. Just a dab and the worms stick like velcro!
