Welcome Dennis. This is a great site with some really great information and alot of nice people. ;D
  2. ;D ;D That was my first lesson for the day. My hubby was telling me to hold on a minute so he could get a pic and I was hollering at him "Hurry up, this thing has teeth" Needless to say he was laughing at me a little. I did head out in search of some smallies yesterday but they eluded me again. >
  3. I do not have a long list of hobbies and I will be the first to admit that I do not have the time that I used to have to do them since having kids but I still love to do them when I get the chance. Snowmobiling 4 wheeling rock climbing Glenn if your a licensed pyrotechnician than I have a few neighbors I would like for you to meet.
  4. Dan I have heard that from so many people about the Sinkin' Salty Shads. I have not used them yet. I plan to try them real soon.
  5. Thanks guys it was great to get out, and no avid I was not afraid of getting that coat messed up. It was real muddy everywhere yesterday because of the ice and rain storm we had the day before. I fell a few times before the day was over. ;D Maybe I will head back out today and catch the smallmouth that eluded me yesterday.
  6. Wow that is a ridonculous northern strain bass! Thanks. That is what I thought when I saw it. ;D
  7. My biggest largemouth so far was this one. It was 25.5 inches and the girth was approx. 18 or so. Bassectomy - That is a nice pickeral. Congrats.
  8. Well cabin fever finally got the best of me today and headed out to find some open water. Checked all of my favorite lakes and ponds and they were frozen. Despite the ice storm and all of the rain we had yesterday I headed to a new spot on a creek in my area. Glad that I did. Not only did I get my first fish for 2008 but it was a new first for me too. I got my first trout ever. Caught it on my regular go to bait the Magic Stik in green pumpkin gold. I didn't stay for too long because it was cold and I did not catch the smallmouth that I was after but it still was great to be out. I hope you guys got the chance to get out and wet a line too.
  9. Tpayneful - I will be working at the Case Plastics booth on Saturday. The senko knock-offs that you got last year were probably the Magics Stiks. They are one of my favorites. I did very well with them last year. Wayne P. - I will look for that booth and hope to get the chance to pop by and say hello. Looking forward to seeing you both at the show.
  10. Great work.
  11. This happens to me to sometimes. I either grab hold of them and squeeze them till they croak or if they are bigger and I cant get my hand around them I hold them under the jaw like this.
  12. Awesome fish, Congrats. ;D Glad to hear your feeling better too.
  13. I will be working a booth at the Fredericksburg Outdoor Show 8th, 9th, 10th and was wondering if anyone else was going to the show too. I am hoping it will be a fun weekend and with any luck I will pick up lots of new stuff for my tacklebox. ;D
  14. Hi BMD Glad to see you here. ;D
  15. I agree it's faster for me too ;D
  16. Iam 5'4" and although I can't believe I am gonna say this about 100 pounds.
  17. Awesome report and great fish. Congrats.
  18. Congrats to you. That is an awesome fish. ;D
  19. That about sums up what I was thinking too. Seems like everything is froze here in Pa. It is depressing. Avid - I would fish with you anyday. ;D I forgot to mention roadwarrior but I want to fish with him wherever he is fishing because of the size of the smallies he is holding up in his avatar. ;D
  20. Definitely the fight for me. Which I think is why I became addicted to fishing for smallmouth so quickly. ;D
  21. That is awesome. Sounds like a day that you spent very well and it will make for some memories that will last a lifetime for you and your son both. Congrats. ;D
  22. I agree with that statement 100% This is the smallest one that I have a pic of. My daughter caught it on a day early last summer when the weather was great. We skipped school and went fishing. ;D Sorry the pic is a little fuzzy.
  23. Congrats to you on the nice fish, and what a cool surprise the Gar must have been. YOu gotta love those ponds. ;D
  24. Thanks for the help guys. I am really hoping that I can manage a little time to do some fishing while I am down there.
