  1. Great fish, Congratulations.
  2. A few more that my daughter took while we were fishing... This is one of those rare shots of how close I actually got the fish before it came off the hook and swam away.. AAAhh! This is one of those moments that a husband and wife team have sometimes when the wife is doing it wrong and the hubby choses to tell her about it..

  6. Thanks guys we had a great time fishing this week. leftcoast- this pond I believe is spring fed but it sits at the base of a mountain and has lots of big ole pine trees around it. Every time that I have been there the water has been stained. I really have no idea how deep it is either.
  7. Very nice fish, Congratulations.
  8. Congrats on great fish. I have not been to Merrill Creek in a long time I will have to get my hubby to take me soon. Great report and pics.
  9. Well October 1st was my 19 year wedding anniversary. Which to the two of us meant one thing FISHING! 19 years is long enough to know that I have no interest in all the fancy hoopla like dinner a movie and a bottle of wine. For me it means doing what I love the most with the person I share my time with. Yes, I did get some flowers all nice pretty and they smelled great but the thing that I needed the most I got.. New hooks. I tried to get my husband to give up work and spend the day with me but it was just not gonna happen. Too many meetings for him and too little time. So we spent the week fishing when we could with the few moments that we could steal from our hectic lives. We hit quite a few different spots this week one of them being a private pond that a very kind gentleman graciously allowed me to fish, another little pond which I like to call The Giving Pond ( it is one of my favorite honeyholes) , and last but definitely not least the river which is the place that holds my new all time favorite fish fiesty Smallmouth. ;D A few fish that my hubby pulled from the private pond. It is about 11 acres and I really noticed the color of these fish at this place. They are almost grey. Not the deep green that I usually see and I am not sure why. One from the river. Not big but a blast to catch and was the first fish of the day on the first cast. I love when that happens. Another river smallie Last but not least The Giving pond. My favorite little honeyhole. His big mouth Sending him back. I will add the thing I love the most and was reminded of this week when fishing with my husband was as I stood up the shoreline from him the thing that occured to me the most was that silence was comfortable. The fact that out time is not filled with idle chatter, just the outdoors, the fishing, and the fact that he was somewhere ahead or behind me on the shoreline doing what we both love to do. No need for words. Just an exchange of smiles every once and a while. A Great Anniversary week of fishing.
