ARK rods.....
I am currently looking at ARK casting rods for weighted texas rigs (1/4oz-3/8oz and maybe a tiny bit smaller) and possibly 3/8oz jigs. I'm specifically looking at a MH XF rod. Anyone have experience with these rods? Are they sensitive enough for bottom contact?

Help me Decide Between Dobyns and Powell Rod
I have several dobyns rods and have started to dislike them. Only ones I half way like are my sierras for moving baits. I have a kaden and it has no sensitivity at all. I'm actually getting rid of all my dobyns rods and switching to mainly cashion rods.

weighted texas rig rod
Yeah looks like a nice rod, but hardly any reviews on them.

weighted texas rig rod
Yeah I have a couple tatula elite rods but wanting to stay away from them for this rod since I'll likely be using braid with a flouro leader and most braid to leader knots suck with microguides.

weighted texas rig rod
I'm looking for a good casting rod for weighted texas rigs (1/4oz-1/2oz) and small jigs (no larger than 3/8oz). Rod must be sensitive enough for bottom contact. Looking to spend no more than 250. Might could go a small amount over 250, but not much. No microguides please. What would everyone recommend?

tatula elite, tatula 150, or tatula 200
I'm looking for a reel to pair with my heavy jig rod for football jigs. I would likely be using 16 or 17 pound flouro with 1/2oz and 3/4oz football jigs. Debating on if I should get the tatula elite or the tatula 150 or the tatula 200. Would the elite hold the amount of line I need in the weights I mentioned?

Sunline Flourocarbon
What's everyone's experience with Sunline fluorocarbon? I'm debating between sunline sniper, assassin, and shooter. Will be using for heavy football jigs (1/2oz and 3/4oz).

Favorite topwater rod
Regular action?? Is that like a moderate fast? I got the 7'1" elite skipping jig rod last week and really like it. I like it so much I am probably going to grab the 6'9" version also.

braid vs flouro
The only thing I don't like about the braid to leader connection is it just gives another knot for the line to likely break.

braid vs flouro
Let's say you are fishing a 3/8oz spinnerbait with braided line and another person is fishing the same exact spinnerbait with say 15lb flourocarbon line. Do you believe the flouro is going to make much difference in the amount of fish or the bites or the action the spinnerbait is able to do? Is one better or worse than the other?

Favorite topwater rod
What's everyone's favorite rod for hard topwater lures such as spooks, sallys, poppers, etc????

flouro for squarebills
What size flourocarbon line does everyone use for shallow squarebill crankbaits? I usually only use the 1 and 1.5 squarebills. If using braided line will there really be much difference in how deep the squarebill actually dives or how it behaves underwater?

Flipping/pitching reel setups
Wonder if a daiwa sv tw in 8 speed would work?

Flipping/pitching reel setups
What reel does everyone use with their flipping/pitching rods?

Daiwa Zillion SV TW (older model)
Any owners of the older model, (2016 I believe), of the Daiwa Zillion SV TW? I'm thinking about grabbing one soon for a rod I'm going to use with spinnerbaits and a few other things. Link below of the reel I'm referring to. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-DAIWARELLS.html?from=basres

2020 version of Daiwa SV TW vs older version of SV TW
It's actually set from the factory and you should never turn it. I wish they wouldnt have even put a knob there because it confuses a lot of people.

It could be cause of the pandemic and all the stuff happening within the last year or so. I know almost every company is behind and hard to get orders from almost anyone.

2020 version of Daiwa SV TW vs older version of SV TW
I found the previous version of the Daiwa SV TW for a decent price and have a few questions. Is there really much difference in the new version and the older version? I know the older version had the color accents for gear ratio and did not have the zero adjust spool tension knob like the new version. Does anyone that has both versions notice any difference in performance between the two versions of the reel?

Cashion rods
Opinions on Cashion rods? The handles seem kind of weird to me. I'm specifically looking at the squarebill rod and one of the elite crankbait rods. I'd mainly be using it for 1 and 1.5 strike king kvd squarebills. Maybe a 2.5 strike king kvd squarebill, but that would be very rare. I just discovered they are made here in NC, so that's a plus that they are local.

Skipping rod and reel
I've handled them and although they are a heavy action rod, they have a very fast springy tip.

Randleman Lake NC
Anyone here from NC or nearby that has fished or fishes Randleman Lake often? I've fished it several times and it can be kind of tricky sometimes due to the pressure it can get sometimes. There's times I've caught lots of nice fish, but there's other days where I struggle to even get a bite. Anyone willing to offer any help?

Skipping rod and reel
where did you find one in stock? Almost everywhere I have seen online has them on backorder or out of stock.

Absolute best all-purpose chatterbait trailer
It depends on what I am trying to imitate. If I am imitating a baitfish I'll use a paddle tail like a kietech or a rage swimmer. If I am imitating a crawdad I'll use a rage craw or rage bug or even a rage menace. There's just so many different trailers and almost any of them with action will work.
