I lost the paperwork for my quantum accurist, so what i did was searched first on quantum and then on the internet. Since my reel was 4 or 5 years old quantum didn't have any .PDF files on my reel so i simply searched the internet and found a .PDF of the entire manual for my reel. If you cant find it online, call quantum. They would probably be more than willing to send you a manual, or talk to you through it.

I just purchased a Abu Garcia® Revo S Reel/Bass Pro Shops® Bionic Blade XPS combo from basspro (tough decision between that and the Citca). When they emailed me the shipping info, it turned out it is coming in two separate packages, the rod in one and the reel in the other. My question is if you have ordered from bass pro before, and they shipped your rod and reel separately: did they both arrive on the same day. I dont know what i am going to do if one arrives one day and i have to wait another day or two for the other half of my combo. I mean that is just not right. Also there is a promotion for a free Abu Garcia Gear bag, if you pay the 10.95 dollars shipping. I was wondering if anyone has gotten this gearbag and what they have thought of it. Is it worth the 10.95.

Has anyone figured out how to take a picture with a digital camera, which includes you and the fish when your fishing alone. I have tried sitting it on my tacklebox and using the timer on the camera, but that is nearly impossible to get a good picture.

Try fishing a weightless zoom trick worm on a hook with a weedguard. It was the only thing producing for me the other day.

If your grocery store has the self checkout lanes, all of those obviously have scales on them too, that way you dont have to bother a cashier at the register.

I have caught a lot of smallmouth with them in rivers and several lmb in ponds and lakes.

I use the Heddon Spit'n image Jr and Spit'n image all the time, and catch a lot of fish them. I prefer these over a Pop'R

Where do yall purchase your Fat Ikas from. They dont sell them at Bass pro shop or dicks sporting goods.

I pretty much always fish relatively light tackle: either 4lb, 6lb, or 10lb test. With the 6lb and 10lb most fish you can reel right on it. The 4lb test, now that requires a little skill and a lot of luck, to land a decent size fish on. This weekend i had a nice 3 or 3.5 lb bass on 4lb test, that proceeded to make a beeline right for the dock, breaking my line in the process.

While i was working on a golf course i saw a guy catch a big carp on popcorn.

I went fishing with friends the other day, and i was using senkos and he was using yum dingers, and he caught a lot more fish than i did. While i agree Senkos are by far the best, under certain conditions the knockoffs may work just as well or even better.

False, your fine if you go through the first gill slit, and if you dont feel like going through the gills just put a plastic grocery bag in your tackle box.

I own one of the Rapalas, and it works just fine.

Use the horny toad hooks, that have the little screw by the eyelet. You can catch a lot of fish before the frog tears up using those hooks.

I use the gizit and venom tubes. I was fishing with these Venom 4inch black with red glitter Salt series tubes yesterday, and was absolutely crushing some fish. I had one 4lber and one 3lb 6oz and 9 other smaller ones in like a 2 hour period. I personally enjoy doing both, and i think an equal balance is nice. Fishing alone is good, because there is nothing more relaxing and peaceful than sitting on a lake or on a bank and fishing in complete silence. Its nice and peaceful, and a great opportunity just to think about what is going on in your life. However, sitting in a boat with a bunch of guys, drinking beer, and telling stories cant be beat. Plus it is a lot of fun to talk trash when your catching fish and your friends arent.

When i am fishing with tubes, a lot of the fish i catch tend to be hooked in the entrance to the stomach. This is never really a problem with any other lures i fish with just mainly the tubes. What i have found is due to the barb on the hook that it is extremly difficult/impossible to get the hook out, without seriously hurting the fish. I always carry a leatherman with me, and have tried using needle nose pliers also to no avail. I have also tried flattening the barb on the hook, and that doesnt work either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the hook out, because currently i have just been leaving them in.

I use to have one, but those things have no backbone and you end up loosing a lot of fish trying to set the hook.
