  2. Also try a floating worm hot pink/bubblegum colors work well.
  3. That site has a lot of used lures for sale.
  4. I tried removing hooks the way it said in the article, and i found it really difficult to reach my fingers up through its gills and grab the hook. I think snipping off the barb end and trying to pull it out works the best. Also if you snip enough off the barbend, the fish has a much better chance of passing the hook and not having the hook get hung up upon exit. If it is really bad just leave it, i have caught several fish with the hooks coming out of their butts, and they seemed to be doing just fine.
  5. It is situational. Personally i don't use other peoples tackle, because i don't like it when they use mine. When i go fishing with friends that fish a lot, i really don't like letting them use my equipment. Fishing lures get expensive. Sure a soft plastic ranges 30-70 cents a piece, but that adds up over the course of the day. The other day the fish were just crushing my Fat Ikas, and so one of my friends asks to borrow some and ends up going through like 5 of them. Thats like 3.50, down the drain. However If i take friends that are less experienced and don't generally fish a lot, i have no problem letting them use my lures and equipment. I just want to make sure they have fun and enjoy themselves.
  6. Try Fat Ikas and 10inch worms.

  8. If you work for minimum wage (40 hour weeks), your pay check will be right at 350 every two weeks. That was at 5.15 an hour though, so at 5.85 your paycheck would probably be around 380 a week.
  9. I have one too, yet to try it. Did u catch anything, and if you did how were you retrieving it.
  10. I hope i am one of the first 75. All the products look pretty sweet.
  11. Your not sponsored by anyone so wear what ever you want. I am not sure why anyone would ever say it was a no-no. That doesnt really make any sense.
  12. Here is a picture of my first citation bass. It was 23.5 inches long, citation in VA is 22. It was caught on a Fat Ika, last friday. He wasnt too fat, but he seemed pretty healthy. Pic 1 Pic 2 Here is a nice little 5lber i caught earlier this week on a 10inch power worm. This fish has a big belly, and put up a good fight.
  13. This was the longest week of work ever.
  14. All i have to say is Typical
  15. Along with the trick and finesse worms, try a floating worm.
  16. How much should you adjust the breaks
  17. Looks like i will be getting some of these Mattlures lures.
  18. I know a lot of people fish the mattlures, bluegill swimbeats and catch a lot of fish with them. I was wondering if anyone fishes with any of the swimbaits from mattlures baby bass series line. Thoes lures are a little more afordable, and if they have had any luck.
  19. Hit the members tab, and then just sort by # of posts (done by clicking on posts). I just checked it.
  20. When i fish tubes, i always run the line through the top of the tube, insert a bullet weight up into the head of the tube, then tie on a straight shank hook. It is pretty much a homemade version of a jighead. This setup is nice, because when you catch a fish, the tube and bullet weight will shoot up the line, making it easy to remove the hook and the tube doesnt really get damaged at all.
  21. I typically weigh everything that appears to be over 3lbs on my digital scale. Mainly because i like trying to guess the weight of the fish, and then see how close i am. I however feel that if your going to take a picture of it with the intent of posting the picture, you should go ahead and weigh it. If you have the scale you might as well be as accurate as possible. We all know guesstimating isnt very accurate.
  22. THanks T-Rig
  23. I alway use the horny toad hook, which works really well. Its a pretty versatile bait, so the way your gonna fish it is going to vary by the conditions of the body of water your fishing. If i am fishing thick lily pads i usually start off by swimming it right along the edge of the pads, then i will kinda bounce it along the outside edge of the pads just jerking it up then letting it fall back down, then i will actively fish the surface of the lily pads, making sure to let it sink down in any holes in the pads. If the aquatic vegetation doesnt actually reach the surface, i will usually swim it right about the top of the plants, and then just slowly work it through the plants. Hope this helps and makes sense
  24. I have a question regarding the BOGA-grips. I was looking at them on basspro.com, and they 15lb one measures in 1/4lb increments, and the 30 and 60lb ones measure in 1lb increments. I have never used one in person, but can you get an accurate measurement down to the oz, on one of the 30lb ones.
