Puppy help needed
Have had three other dogs in my life and never encountered this issue. 18 week old female sato mix puppy. She will pee outside but only poops inside when we’re not looking. She’s taken out on a leash in the backyard and we’ve tried staying out there for 15 minutes at a time return inside then immediately take her back out and nothing. 10-15 mins later we find poop in the house. Any help?

Alberto knot
Tip for cinching…cinch down by pulling leader line and mainline and if it’s not cinching all the way grab the tag end end and mainline of leader and pull them apart. It will help draw the braid wraps down. Do it slowly then finally finish the knot by pulling on the mainline and leader line. Hope that helps

Another Palomar knot question
I snug it. Leaving it loose makes the knot harder to cinch up
-
Palomar knot breaking
I pull both main and tag end to Cinch the knot and then just pull the mainline before cutting the tag end. This video is exactly how I do it

New guy from Long Island!
It’s now an overpopulated overpriced place with declining fisheries both fresh and salt. Enjoy wish I was going. Used to love Long island until it became an overpopulated overpriced crappy fishing

Best Sinker stop/peg/method you reccommend?
6th sense are the best for bobber stoppers for pegging. I only peg when I’m flipping heavy cover or punching. Too many people wanna peg all the time when In reality you’ll catch more fish unpegged

Certain colored senkos softer than others?
Yup compare straight black with green pumpkin and you’ll see a big difference in softness. The black is more “rubbery” which IMO lasts longer. Watermelon black flake and bubblegum also have the same feel to it as straight black

Your go to numbers bait

Senko hook
That looks like a good hook and should solve the OP problem. I use the vmc wide gaps size 3/0 for 5” senko. They run a tad bigger than a gamakatsu. The bend below the eye is a bit more turned up than a standard gamakatsu eWG which helps prevent the senko from sliding down

Fluoro Leaders
3-4’ for me. Anywhere from 8-15lb mono. I don’t use fluoro.

Is this reel overspooled?
Daiwa actually designs spinning reels to have more line towards the top of the spool.
-
Is this reel overspooled?
Just go fish and have fun. It’s fine

Is this reel overspooled?
Looks good to me. I would bother with a shim. Like lay looks fine to me. Does it really matter?

Direct tie from this day forward.
Maybe with spinnerbaits but I’ve caught stripers to 47lbs and bluefish into the teens using those clips in the surf and never lost a lure or fish due to the clip. But for bass fishing, a simple palomar or improved clinch knot is all you need

Is the misery of kayak fishing worth it?
I hate kayaks. Give me waders or a boat
-
Opinion? 20lb braid mainline overkill? Spinning setup
Should be fine. I use 15 for all spinning applications
-
Does a squarebill/lipless combo rod exist?
I fish braid but have used 12-15lb mono too

Does a squarebill/lipless combo rod exist?
What he said. It has the perfect tip for ripping a trap through grass or fishing a square bill around cover

Still no bass fishing in Minnesota
The bass fishing has improved in there. Not nearly as bad as it was before the walleye stocking. Late 90s early 2000s was the worst fishing I’ve ever seen in that lake…..I mainly surf fish stripers but still do the bass thing once a week

Still no bass fishing in Minnesota
I don’t do the walleye thing I get them accidentally fishing for bass. Some biggies in there at the right time and place.
