  7. i am an avid spin fisherman for trout but have never mastered the art of floating a bait to those pesky top feeders. i need some advice on what to do and how to do it thank you
  8. trout season has started and i am noticing the same thing i did last year. i use a 4' 6'' ul st. croix fast action rod which is an amazing rod with tons of feel. the only problem i have is when i use a spinner the rod basically bends in half while i reel in what should i do?
  9. they aren't known for their reels stick with their rods though they are stout!!!
  10. it is about 3 years old i know that is probably the problem i always worry about tearing it down to clean and lube and not being ab le to get it back together... any help with the tear down and reassemble process is appreciated.. thanks guys

  12. i would probably try butter worms they are a little bigger than wax worms and they have some red on them which the trout seem to like alot. good luck

  14. i was out last night getting in some early trout fishing when all of a sudden my reel starts acting up like it doesnt want to reel smooth. i came home to open it up and i find that what i believe to be my water seal gasket is all broken up?? what should i do i took out the pieces but does this effect it???
  15. I know that the avids seem a little lighter and you get fugi guides and i believeit is a better graphite but I am not sure if it is worth the extra 60 bucks.
  16. I heard from a buddy that i work with that the ball bearings in the stradic are made in Japan and the ball bearings made in the symetre are made in China. I sell these things every bay at work and i push the symetre over the stradic every time the customer loves it because the prices are about thirty bucks apart. The symetre is just as good of a reel as the stradic.
  17. I haven had anyluck ith this stuf. I have used the original color about four or five times ot but i have not caught a thing. It has been cold and they havent been biting on anythog that isnt moving. All though even under these tuff conditions i have caught one trout on good old berkley powerbait yellow sparkle. I am not going to say that it is a bad bait because it has been rough conditions so far in Pa.
  18. There is a very noticable color difference. When you catch a native tout you can tell right away. They are beautifu.
  19. i would recommend that you leave the line in the box it came in. I would also use a big super ball or something very rbbery that you can cut a slot into so you can run you line through it. Tis will take probably two people to do it right but hey it will be bonding time. Running it throug a ball takes alot of twists out of the line to help with birdsnests. GOD BLESS!!
  20. I think that it would have been a gret decision had the weather stayed warm like it was the first couple days. But it got really cold and the fish just seem to have shut down or slowed down greatly. It helps retails stores though with the two waves of opening day especially if you are close enough to both regions that guys around you fish them both avidly. I still have yet to figure out how it helped anything at all.
