"deep" water fishing
I fish almost exclusively shallow waters, mainly because I don't have the confidence, or knowledge in fishing deeper water. I was hoping you guys could talk a bit about different presentations in deep water, and how to work them. What is it you look for in underwater structure's? The only thing I look for when fishing deeper are humps, and steep drops. Any other input on best practices for fishing deeper would be of great help, thanks guys!

Not sure if anyone is interested, but the Outdoor Network's show called trout unlimited is about the western PA mountains and rivers. Beautiful place, and should be replayed today at 4.

New England Swimbaiter Q
Hi all, When reading the fall recommendations for fishing, I heard people saying throw big presentations such as swimbaits or big worms. I was wondering if the spring was a good time to throw some swimbaits as well? I stocked up with some baits: mattlures (perch, smallie, large mouth), MS Slammer x2, ABT rainbow trout and a king shad. I want to start fishing these more in the upcoming season, but i dont have too much history with fishing swimbaits. I was just wondering if the spring is the best time to be throwing them? Thanks!

St Croix Mojo Bass...
Well, i saw them at BPS today and they looked pretty nice. I went online tonight and bought myself the 6'8" wacky spinning rod. The big decision maker in getting this rod vs. the BPS Johnny Morris is the Morris rods are made in China vs. the American made St. Croix! I have an avid now and i love it, so i guess when the ice is melted i can give the mojo a shot!

St Croix Mojo Bass...
What do you guys think of the new St Croix product? I was thinking of getting the spinning, wacky rig/soft plastic rod, 6'8 M XFast, but wanted to get some opinions on the spinning variety of Mojo.

what rod do you use for smallmouth fishing?
The 5'6 ugly stick is fun! What do you throw for lures with it mostly?

Need help with Maine fishing trips for this spring/summer.
Thanks for the insight. Andro River is one of my favorite fishing spots in New England, a monkey in a kayak could catch smallies in that river. I usually fish in the Dixfield area.

Looking for Spinning Reel Recommendations
well burleynator, I have Shimano's, and I prefer the Supreme to other shimano's at $100 or under. It's my opinion, which by the way, is shared by a number of others as well. Everyone has their own opinions, and that's why people ask questions on here, to listen to differing view points to form their own opinion. Saying one person's opinion is wrong,or their a turkey, because you don't agree with it doesn't help anyone, especially the person asking the question.

Pointers or Xraps?
I've solved the problem... Went to BPS today and spent a bunch of money on LC pointers, and Xraps. Now I just need some snow/ice to melt, and April to come to test em.

Looking for Spinning Reel Recommendations
Is it unfair to compare a supreme to sahara's, symetre's, or saro's? I think it's completely legit. If we're talking baitcasters that's another story, but with spinning gear under $150 I would go supreme. Just one man's opinion, and many share that opinion with me.

Looking for Spinning Reel Recommendations
Pflueger Supreme's are a smooth as ice, I was a shimano guy, but have been converted to Pflueger for spinning reels, you have to spend far more than $100 to get a shimano with the supreme features and performance.

I need some help...
You wouldn't need a reel for a week if you had that.

Newer Pflueger baitcasters
So the new pflueger's are similar to the revo's? I've become a pflueger fan since early 2008, maybe this is why. The supreme is a great reel for $100, I can't wait to try more pflueger's. I actually stopped buying shimano spinning reels in favor of pflueger due to the bang for your buck provided in their spinning reels.

Where is the next world record bass going to come from?
The tagging of a 28 lber sounds a bit suspicious, but I hope we see it someday! I voted Cali, so many big fish come out of their waters.

In Line Spinners
What size, and brands do you guys use for smallies on these lures? I use Blue Fox minnow spins in 1/4 oz mostly, but wanted to go back to a mepps or rooster tail. Didn't know what size you guys use, or preferred colors, brand, etc?
