Yessir at times. I used the plus 2 in my last two tournaments because the fish were staging in creek mouths at about 10-12 feet. Plus one and two is how I learned I hated my previous noodle of a jb rod. I’ve replaced It though.

14-16 lb fc for me. T-rigged. Normally Weightless.

I only fish for largemouth. I use white/Pearl for cloudy days, sexy shad or chrome for sunny days. Simple as that.

I feel like a predator like a bass eats more than 2 times a day for an hour. Did they tell you that?

It was pretty windy and I was in a buddies boat and he stayed further off cover than I’m used to. I’m going to give It another chance in my boat where I can do truer pitches rather than casting far.

This is how I spent the night before a tournament that was about 2 hours away last summer.

Anyone fished their 7’1” elite yet? @tander @PhishLI I fished a two day tournament today and yesterday so put the rod to work. I first tried It with a spinnerbait just to see how It does. Not great. No big deal, it’s not a spinnerbait rod. Today I fished a bit with a 3/8 oz Luke clausen finesse jig with super hog trailer (cut in half). I bought this rod specifically for this bait. Unfortunately It didn’t cast It well (too stiff) and I couldn’t feel the bait at all with It. Maybe I just suck, but I feel like this rod needs a heavier jig to run properly. Unfortunately, I have 4 other setups that easily throw the bigger stuff and 2 that can get by better than this one with the luke clausen finesse. So I’m thinking about off loading It.

Same advice I had on *** for you. It definitely does.

I would never go be a co-angler in a local no money derby if I owned a boat. Which I do. That sounds crazy. There’s nothing magical about It. Go to lake, put boat in water, fish your way in your boat between the derby hours, bring your fish to weigh in. That’s It.

It’s a Tacoma and I’m 5’6”. I’ll make It work.
