  1. I have three tatula elite rods I bought for $180 in the past 1-2 years going for $90 now on close out every where. It happens with everything. I’m not mad about It.
  2. I wasn’t even expecting It to ship until the 27th. When I ordered the website said they were closed for inventory and all orders would ship on the 27th. Then I got shipping notice next day!
  3. How can you beat this shipping time from digitaka? Ordered 2/20.
  4. I have a tournament this weekend on a 12000 acre lake. Water temps this morning are 48. Depending on time of day and area of the lake we will have some in winter mode and some in prespawn. Ill have the following on deck: MB vision 110 in chrome or white Luke Clausen 3/8 Finesse jig in green pumpkin or Alabama craw War eagle spinnerbait with gold willows Jackhammer in bruised green pumpkin And maybe a 1/2oz rattle trap in red or chrome If I can’t catch them on those then I suck lol
  5. I don’t understand the problem. 50lb braid is pretty standard on a casting reel, especially for swimbaits. 50 braid to 12 leader is not a problem at all.
  6. I would own Dobyns Colts or Furys and Falcon Lowriders only if I didn’t buy rods online without seeing them. Doesn’t bother me at all to order a rod from a proven company online.
  7. Some of my favorites to watch these days are Wheeler, Mark Davis, Ott Defoe, Brent Erhler, and Jesse Wiggins.
  8. Heck yeah. Keep me updated please. Would love to know what works for you.
  9. I’m always the boater lol. Won’t put myself through that torture.
  10. Midway got me too. $90 for the 7’1” heavy. Hoping It’ll be good for pitching 3/8oz jigs. Just going to put a Tatula 150HS on It. It’s all I’ve got at the moment. Maybe a good spinnerbait rod too.
  11. I fish Tournaments. It’s still just you and the fish. You can’t worry about what others are doing. You compete against the fish and if you win, hopefully it’s enough to win the tournament. That’s my philosophy any way.
  12. How would It be for just pitching around 3/8oz finesse jigs like the Luke clausen finesse Dirty jig? Just trying to see where I can make It fit in the arsenal. I have Dobyns DX746 I use for pitching 1/2oz t-rig with creatures and big worms. I just got the Orochi perfect pitch for the same things but mainly for 1/2oz-3/4oz jigs as well. Daiwa Rebellion 7’3” MHF for lighter t-rig, senkos, etc. Originally planned to use the Rebellion for the finesse jigs. Maybe this skipping rod will be the ticket.
  13. Anything else you think this Rod would be good for?
  14. I just ordered the 7’1” skipping rod also. I don’t need It and I don’t even know how to skip a jig! But I figure i can’t go wrong with an elite rod and a huk shirt for $90!
  15. Those are legit.
  16. Got pics of my new rods posted in the show off thread!
  17. I haven’t heard good things about them. I’ll see if I can find the thread from another forum. Not sure if I’m allowed to link to It here though. Build quality is supposed to be pretty poor.
  18. Picking up two orochis today! I’m excited.
  19. I hit the mother load today. $350 total for TWO new orochi xx rods. Going to pick them up tomorrow. choosing two between perfect pitch, braillist, and Diablo spec r! This left enough for me to get a jdm Metanium! only problem (good problem)…. Now I need another reel.
  20. I haven’t tried them but looked at them for the first really good Saturday. They look good!
  21. Think I’ve got 5. Not enough grass in our lakes to use them much.
