  1. T-rig, c-rig. That’s It for me. I cut a super hog and use It as a jig trailer though.
  2. I ordered some last year. When I got them I realized they are FAT. Way fatter than a normal senko. Too much so. These were like crayola marker fat. To me, a 7” senko may be the perfect bait if they left the girth alone. I never used them.
  3. I know this is old so sorry for bringing It back. Why is pairing a Daiwa with a GLX a problem? I’m looking now, but not familiar with different reel seats.
  4. Yeah I am going to pass. I’ll be getting an Expride or GLX jig rod soon and need a reel though. Probably a jdm Zillion HD.
  5. It’s the best
  6. 7 gear for sure. Check out https://discountfishingdeals.com I’ve bought multiple reels from him and it’s legit. Currently low on SLX but $88 when in stock. Here’s the Lews for $88 https://discountfishingdeals.com/shop/ols/products/lews-speed-spool-lfs-ss1sha-right-hand-baitcaster-751-ratio Can’t go wrong with either. I’d get the Lews for $88
  7. This was It. Backed the screws off a half turn and bam, smooth as butter.
  8. My wife had surgery on 2/7 so I’ve been home helping her for almost two weeks. I just told her yesterday that when I’m bored It costs us a lot of money lol
  9. Can we? Of course. But It sucks.
  10. Take this advice. Make your boater get in the back.
  11. Did you know Georgia has more Waffle houses than any other state. By far.
  12. It’s not working for me either. The only legend glass left is the 6’10” MH and It says it’s not eligible for the offer ?
  13. I want a rod specifically for jigs. 1/2 oz swim jigs with paddle tail trailers and 1/2 oz pitching jigs with beaver type trailers. Both with 20lb fc. Occasionally though I want to throw 1/2 oz jig plus trailer with a stouter braid hook. Think dirty water with lots of flooded heavy cover. In this scenario I would throw 50-65lb Braid. Just curious if you think this rod would be good for both scenarios or if I should go a different route. Alternatively I have a back up 7’3” worm rod (Falcon Bucoo Amistad) that I could change out to full time braid and use that for my jig/braid scenario. This could then also double as a frog rod. If I did that though I would want a second worm rod (to replace the role of the Amistad now). So would the 844c MBR work for Texas rig also? Mostly creatures and 10” worms. Thanks
  14. Riley, you seem to be holding a snake. ?
  15. Add on question. If I drive the 45 minutes to go buy this reel for $85, could I resell It for say $130?
  16. That’s crazy to me. No rando would be controlling my boat lol
  17. Hating fiddling with brakes is exactly why I’m not a Shimano guy! Lol. Bought a Curado last year just for the heck of It, got home, started playing with It and realized the brakes It had, and took It back to academy lol. Honestly, despite the price, I think I’ll pass on this reel.
  18. My flippin hooks are Roboworm Rebarb medium wire 4/0.
  19. Hopefully I can get It to work with what I have because I’m an idiot and after installing them, I swiped all the spare gomexus parts and daiwa stock stuff into the trash. ?‍♂️
  20. Same. Mine came with a bunch but I only put 1 in
  21. Only have one shim in there so hopefully it’s enough lol
  22. I know almost nothing about Shimano (Daiwa guy). I’ve been offered this reel though for $85. Guy says It was bought in 2016. Chronarch 150HG CI4+
  23. Stupid cat. This is why I hate doing my own work in things. It never goes right. I’m just not handy lol
  24. I’ll try taking the washer out and backing the screw off a bit. Do you know what the little rubber o-ring looking things that came with the knobs were for?
