  1. My regular zillion sv is on my fluke, senko rod. This one will see no smaller than 3/8 oz tungsten +hook and plastic. Majority of the time will be 1/2oz tungsten. Side note: Any must have bait orders from digitaka while I’m ordering reel and line?
  2. Last lake I fished was 89,000 acres.
  3. 50% of my fishing will be bomb casting big worms offshore. Also It seems by this post the new jdm HD isn’t the traditional HD for the things you mentioned. Ideal reel to me is the Tat Elite P/F with more line capacity. This looks like It. Could be wrong. Nice. That’s what I was going to get.
  4. Perfect! Was thinking about ordering some sunline fc sniper With It from digitaka. Any other lines I should consider?
  5. Man I’m sorry you guys have to fish 300 acre lakes.
  6. I’ve been working my butt off all summer trying to get better at offshore. It hasn’t clicked yet.
  7. I’m talking about the JDM 1000 HD compared to the HD on the US website. I think I got It figured out though.
  8. Just to clarify, this jdm model is the new one: and this is the old one on the daiwa website: I’m ok with It not being a true HD style reel because this will be for t-rigs only. I love my Zillion SV so if this is similar with bigger handle and spool, sounds perfect for what I’m looking for.
  9. Those knobs look nothing like the HD knobs.
  10. Two part post. Part one: I currently have a Team Lews Hyper Mag on my DX746. I use It for 50% casting 10+” t-rigs and 50% pitching creature t-rigs in tight quarters. I just sold the Lews because I want to go to all Daiwa. Original plan was to sell It and get another JDM Zillion SV. I’ll have 20lb fc on It though so I think more line capacity may be better for casting. What do you think of the Zillion HD for these techniques? Part Two: in checking digitaka and the daiwa.us website, the reels look significantly different. US version looks much nicer imo. Besides looks (and price), does anyone know any other differences in the US vs JDM HD?
  11. Tells you which each model is for.
  12. Are you on the bank?
  13. Turns out, I hate night fishing. First and last night tourney.
  14. I need to get down there with my boat. Wife has family near Rayburn. Would like to hit north lakes.
  15. Didn’t know you are in Texas Catt. We’re headed to the night tourney on Texoma now.
  16. I guess I don’t know what springy cork is. I just know It keeps It clean.
  17. Is there some cool reason people are putting numbers instead of the color?
  18. I prefer high grade. Always seal with u40 also.
  19. Would love to meet and fish some tournaments with people on here. Unfortunately seems very northern influenced.
  20. Well dang. Sounded like the way to go. Probably just get the Sierra 734c. Being familiar with dobyns plus the discount makes them hard to beat. It’s showing out of stock on the Dobyns website though. I’ll have to drive over to dobyns to get one, so hope it’s in stock before September 21.
  21. Well friends, took a trip to academy this evening and my son saw a fury and told me how he hates green on a fishing rod ?‍♂️ So I’ll for sure be checking some of the other options lol Is It the Randy Howell one?
  22. Although I just joined this forum, I have been on two others since 2006. One fishing, one hunting. Texas forums. I have met and fished or hunting with dozens of people. One of my best friends was met on that forum and he got ordained to wed my wife and I.
  23. Fishing an 8pm to 8am tournament tomorrow night. First night tournament. We will see.
