How to target plus sized bass under docks
Swim an 8” Huddleston around the docks. Might take a while.

Women are goofy.
Also unbearable at times. But… we can’t live without them and they can’t pee standing up.

Bite detection with texas rigs
They are but you still need to match the weight to the rod.

Bite detection with texas rigs
Use as little weight as necessary….for the rod you happen to be using.

Siebert Outdoors
Guess I’m going to have to place an order. I have about 20 new jackhammers I could sell and get a bunch of fogys and pocket a little of that money. Need some tungsten too.

Bite detection with texas rigs
I already answered you in your other thread. That Sierra is a fine rod and definitely sensitive enough. But not for weightless or light weight t-rigs. It’s a mag heavy pitching stick for up to 1.5 oz. Bump your weight up and you will feel everything. You need more weight or less rod if you’re stuck on weightless/light.

the rod/reel technique combo that is daunting to me. the single-tasker?
The 766flip is a good one. I can’t remember if the Sierra comes in 736 or 746 but those would both be great also if you like a little shorter rod. I also have a falcon amistad which is a great rod for what you want in the 7’3” range.

Swim jig or chatterbait for clear water
The only time swim jigs are better than chatterbait for me is around a lot of wood like salt cedars. That’s only because they hang up less.

The amistad is what i use for pitching/punching with braid and frog fishing. Great powerful rod. I would not do 1/4 oz on It though. I have the head Turner and wouldn’t use It for frogs. Too short. It’s one of my finesse jig pitching and spinnerbait/swim jig rods. The lizard dragged is used for c-rig by a lot of people. But it’s rated too light and it’s too short for me. I throw 1oz on c-rig with an 8’ Dobyns.

Recommend my next fishing rod
Yes, you’ll have less bow in the line. That rod is a beast. Need the weight. I can’t answer the Braid question. I either use 20lb fluoro or 50-65lb braid on my similar setups. Bites are easy to detect with either. If you want to throw light t-rigs get the weightless worm or all round fast. Falcon Lowrider. $129. Or buy my combo I’m selling because I have too many: Daiwa Fuego CT 7.3, Falcon Lowrider “All ‘Round Fast” 7’ MHF, 15lb fc. $160 shipped.

Swim jig or chatterbait for clear water
That’s a shame.

Recommend my next fishing rod
That’s what I would do. You need to be able to feel bottom. 4’ is fine.

Recommend my next fishing rod
Your Sierra is a great Texas rig rod but not for 1/16th weight. 3/8 to 1/2 or heavier is what you need on It. Get a Falcon lowrider weightless worm rod for light stuff.

the rod/reel technique combo that is daunting to me. the single-tasker?
My rods are technique specific but only 2 of 21 are specific to one thing. My deep cranking rod and my Carolina rig rod. I only do those things on those rods. The rest I do a few things on. For example, my frog rod is also my punching/pitching with braid rod. 65lb braid. My buzz bait rod is also my spook and horny toad rod.

Tongue hooked a fish, TONS of blood
Old post I know but yes. I tongue hooked one in tournament. No blood. Thought It was a goner based on the interwebs. 5 hours later at weigh in, fish was still fine in the well. Released no problem.

Water clarity matter on the dark spinnerbait/Chatterbait?

Gomexus Handles
I have a gomexus on the way for a swimbait reel. We will see how It goes. But on a somewhat related note, I feel this way with my Zillion with factory jdm handle. The setup I currently have It on I can’t feel the bait and I’ve thought the reel was almost too smooth. Just didn’t think that made sense.

Physical beat down from fishing. Punch fishing. ??
I have a Dobyns Sierra 766 flip that I use. Works well for me.
